Roberto Clemente Field, a city-owned field located just across the street from Emmanuel, is the home venue for men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse, softball, cross country, and outdoor track & field. Roberto Clemente Field features a 120,000 sq. foot NCAA-regulation synthetic turf field, a three-lane rubberized track, practice facilities for expanded track and field events, lighting, spectator stands and a scoreboard. The women’s tennis team practices and plays their matches nearby on six beautiful lighted, hard-surface courts at the Winsor School. The indoor and outdoor track & field teams practice at the nationally-renowned Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center, less than one mile from campus. The men’s golf program practices and plays home matches at William J. Devine golf course at Franklin Park in Dorchester, Mass.

INTERCOLLEGIATE VARSITY SPORT OPPORTUNITIES Jean Yawkey Center - 3rd Floor 617 735-9985 Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Last year, the team competed in seven meets. The Saints compete in the northeast part of the nation in the highly competitive Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship. The women’s team placed 2nd and the men’s team placed 4th at the GNAC Championship. Head Coach Tony DaRocha was named the 2011 GNAC Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year. Both teams vie for a chance to make the ECAC or NCAA Championships. Open tryouts are held in early September. Participants may also take part in indoor and outdoor track & field. Women’s Soccer Last year, the women’s soccer team underwent a rebuilding season, but still managed to finish with an overall record of 10-8-2 and a GNAC record of 6-6-1. Prior to the 2011 season, the Saints advanced to the championship game of the GNAC Tournament for two consecutive years. Emmanuel has previously won conference titles in 2003 and 2007. The soccer team try-outs are held in early September. All practices and home games are played at Roberto Clemente Field. The season ends in early November. Men’s Soccer The Saints enjoyed the greatest season in the 10-year history of the program, winning a record 11 games and advancing to the GNAC semifinals. Four men’s soccer players were named All-Conference, as the Saints competed in the program’s 5th GNAC postseason tournament. The men will vie for an ECAC or an NCAA tournament berth this year. All of the men’s soccer practices and home games are played on the turf at Roberto Clemente Field. Try-outs for men’s soccer team are held in early September. Women’s Tennis The tennis team competes in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. Last season, the team posted a 13-3 overall record and a 6-2 conference mark and made the program’s 9thstraight appearance in the GNAC Tournament. All practices and home matches are played on the lighted courts of nearby Winsor School. Try-outs for the team are in early September. Women’s Volleyball The women’s volleyball team advanced to the GNAC Semifinals in 2011, making the program’s 13th-straight GNAC Tournament appearance. The Saints earned bids to the ECAC Tournament in both 2011 and 2009. The team won three-straight GNAC Championships in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament all three years. Try-outs are held in early September.
