PRIMAL Win SPIRIT of the Game at WUCC PRIMAL were named the Spirit of the Game (SOTG) winners at the 2014 World Ultimate Club Championships (WUCC). For the first time ever a Women’s Masters Division was added to the schedule for the WUCC event to be hosted in Lecco, Italy from August 2-9. PRIMAL was the first club in Australia to send a team to compete in the division but the history making significance wouldn’t stop there. They played eight amazing, hard fought games. The weather was unkind at times and the playing surface suffered as a result. Staying on your feet in ankle-deep mud was sometimes the greatest challenge of all. They played with passion and earned the respect of their opponents. Every player contributed on and off the pitch and each player held their own at a World Championship event. and were united as a team who learned more about the game and themselves than they thought possible. SOTG is rated by your opponents at the end of each game in 5 categories. Each category receives a score out of “4” and the team received a total out of 20 across the categories. A “10” is a GOOD score. PRIMAL’s average for the whole tournament was 13 and their average was above “2” in all 5 categories.
