(GNT) Judging Others 7 “Do not judge others, so that God will not judge you, 2 for God will judge you in the same way you judge others, and he will apply to you the same rules you apply to others. 3 Why, then, do you look at the speck in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the log in your own eye? 4 How dare you say to your brother, ‘Please, let me take that speck out of your eye,’ when you have a log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite! First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will be able to see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
South Sudan Civil Society Forum Workshop on IGAD led HLRF 17th March 2018, Imperial Botanical Hotel, Entebbe, Uganda Introduction Jesus said God will use the same rules you use to judge others to judge you. 1) My conversation with an NGO Director about Civil Society last week -CSOs do not take their values into the Government with them. -Generals do -Why because they are Donor driven 2) Like computer human being is made of: a) Hardware physical appearance (male, female, colour, tall, short, fat, slim etc) b) Software (beliefs, values, principals, attitudes, character, words and actions) -CSOs are formed to promote certain values which should be rooted in certain beliefs otherwise they are just there to make money from donors. -If they don’t belief in those values they are hypocrites trying to remove a speck from someone else ‘eyes before removing a log from their own eyes. -If we can’t agree on issues here do not expect Politicians who have more interest than us to agree on those issues in Adisababa.
Conclusion -My suggestion is that we pick one issue then agree on one position before moving to the next issue. -My opinion is that we tackle the Governance issue first as it (power struggle) was the root cause of the war and it is the one driving insecurity, economic collapse and humanitarian disaster.
