International German Championship 2017 Offshore class from 06th to 09th July 2017 Organizing authority: Deutscher Segler Verband (DSV) Host Clubs : Warnemuender Segel Club e.V. and Wassersportverein Aumund 1. Rules 1.1. 1.2

The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). Furthermore the following will apply: German national prescriptions of the DSV, the IMS rules, the ORC rating rules, the sailing instructions, this notice of race the ISAF Offshore Special Regulations 2016-2017, If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence. In the prescriptions of the DSV, the German text will take precedence
2. Safety 2.1. 2.2
The long distance race is enclosed in the security category 3 Monohulls, without liferaft, no need for a trysail, heavy weather jib or mainsail with reef (12,5%) is enough, including UKW-System. The other offshore races are enclosed in the security category 4. Exceptions according to class regulations and constructional measurements are possible.
3 Additional Equipment and Advertising 3.1 3.2
Boat shall carry on-board-cameras, GPS navigators or similar equipment provided by the organizer as specified by the organizer. Boats shall be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority
4. Eligibilty and Entry 4.1. 4.2.

Eligible boats are one hull cruisers with ORC International measurement that are qualified in accordance with MO8. The person in charge shall either have a valid driving license of the DSV, or a valid official license both prescribed or recommended for the sailing area, issued by the DSV by order of the government department for traffic, construction and home development. Members of other national federations shall have an adequate driving license of their national authority. Each crew member shall be a member of a club affiliated to a national authority of the ISAF. Each member of a club affiliated to the DSV shall be registered at the web-site of the DSV.
4.4. Eligible boats may enter using either: 4.4.1. Preferably online via internet: www.warnemuender-woche.com via online form. The official entry form codified by our Partner PAYONE (EC-direct debit or credit card) shall be used and filled in completely. The organizers shall be authorized to collect the entry fee electronically. For an entry done and paid in that way earlier than 2017 June 10th only the early bird entry fee is necessary. 4.4.2. Entry is also possible by Paper mail or fax message, but there is no reduction of the entry fee. A completed and signed entry form shall be sent or mailed to the organizer. In respect of the entry closing date the date of stamp respective the arrival time of the fax is relevant. In this case it is possible to pay the entry fee per cash at the registration. 4.4.3. Entries not using the official WARNEMUENDER WOCHE entry form will not be accepted. 4.5.

The entry fee shall be paid even if the entry is cancelled later on or the boat does not show up. Entry fees will not be refunded. The entry fee includes the number of event-tickets shown in the table. The event ticket entitles the person to take place on the event party on 7th July and for the memory gift. Further event-tickets are available at the registration for 30 € for other guests. 4

Each boat shall produce a valid measurement certificate. In addition measurement controls but no first measurement will be taken. In addition to RRS 78.2 the measurement certificate may be inspected throughout the event ORC-Yachts shall submit a valid ORC-Measurement-Certificate not later than September 01st, 2017. This changes RRS 78. The Organizing Authority may reject the entry under RRS 76.1. in case of late submission. The schedule for crew weighing and measurement checks will be available with the registration.
8. Sailing Instructions Sailing instructions will be available at the registration. 9. Venue Warnemuende Yachtharbour Hohe Duene. 10. Courses The courses will be described in the sailing instructions. 11. Peanltiy System 11.1
A boat may take a One-Turn Penelty when she may have broken a rule of Part 2, Rule 31 or Rule 42 while Racing. However, if a boat may have broken a rule of Part 2 within the zone of a rounding mark or finishing mark, the penalty that may be taken is a Two-Turn Penalty. This changes RRS 44.1

14. Radio Communication Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones. 15.Prizes Prizes and titles will be awarded as defined in MO 15, 3 prizes for each group. 15. Disclaimer of liability 15.1.
The responsibility for the decision of the person in charge to participate in a race or to continue with it is solely with him. To that extent he also takes the responsibility for his crew. The person in charge is responsible for the qualification and the correct nautical conduct of his crew as well as for the suitability and the safe condition of the entered boat. In cases of Force Majeure or on grounds of administrative orders or for safety reasons the organizer is entitled to make changes in the realisation of the event or to cancel the event. In these cases there does not exist any liability for compensation of the organizer to the participant. In case of a violation of obligations that do not constitute primary respectively material contractual duties (cardinal obligations), the liability of the organizer, no matter because of which cause in law, for material and property damages of all kinds and their consequences that arise to the participant during or in connection with the participation in the event resulting from a conduct of the organizer, his representatives, servants or agents, is restricted to damages that were caused wilfully or grossly negligent. When a violation of cardinal obligations occurs, in cases of simple negligence the liability of the organizer is limited to foreseeable, typically occurring damages. To the extent that the liability for damages of the organizer is excluded or restricted, the participant also relieves the staff – employees and representatives, agents, servants, sponsors and individuals who provide or drive salvage, safety or rescue vessels or assist with their use - from the individual liability for damages, as well as also all other individuals who were instructed to act in connection with the realisation of the event. The effective racing rules of the ISAF, the class rules as well as the regulations of the Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions are to be complied with and are expressly recognised.
15.2. The German law apply. 16. Insurance Each participating boat shall be insured with a valid (and for the racing area suitable) casualty insurance with a minimum coverage of 3.000.000,00 € per event or the equivalent. 17. Copyright and digital copyright Each participant automatically grants the organizer, their agencies and the sponsors of this regatta the right in perpetuity to use at their discretion any pictures taken during the period of competition in which the competitor participates without compensation. 19. General information for competitors If you intend to arrive before 30th June 2017 please inform the Organisation Authority previously (info@warnemuender-woche.com). Except of participants of the 505 Europeans all sailors participating in the second part of the WARNEMUENDER WOCHE are advised not to arrive before Wednesday 05th July 2017. All competitors are requested to comply with the special traffic regulations at the Marina Mittelmole, Hohe Düne and Warnemuende beach. During the days of arrival and departure of WARNEMUENDER WOCHE there is only one-way trafic feasible, for further information see web site www.warnemuender-woche.com. Please follow the instructions of the harbor master and the volunteers! Coach and support boats • Each coach or support boat shall be insured with a valid third party liabilty insurance with a minimum cover of 3,000,000 ¤ per incident or the equivalent. • Helmsmen of dinghies or motorboats have to carry their national driving licenses. • All coach and support boats shall be registered and entered at the event before their first time leaving the harbour. They will be required to comply with local legislation and event support boat regulations. The Organizing Authority may refuse registrationsand accept later registrations at their sole discretion. • Crane services are only available for registered coach or support boats at Mittelmole or Hohe Düne. Utility of cranes • Registered keelboats may use the cran service at Hohe Düne or at the Warnemünder Segel-Club on request on arrival and departure. The fee is covered by the entry fee. Crane service operating hours and weight limits will be published on the notice boards at Mittelmole and Hohe Düne. • Participants are requested to follow instructions given by the crane operators and volunteers. • The fee for additional crane oprations is 25 Euros per single launching/hauling. Moorings • Moorings are located at Marina Mittelmole, Alter Strom, Warnemuende beach or at Marina Hohe Duene. • Participants are requested only to use the marked and assigned pontoon bridges and areas. – Moorings and areas for regestired and entered boats are free of charge for participants and support personal during the event. Ferry Warnemuende <=> Hohe Duene For all participants of the WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE, with mooring Hohe Duene, the ferry is free of charge. Parking Parking lots at Marina Mittelmole and Marina Hohe Duene are available at the indicated areas and subject to charge. For all participants and registered coaches a free of charge parking lot is available opposite to the ARAL gas station in the FriedrichBarnewitz-Straße. Tickets can be obtained at the race office Mittelmole. The Organizing Authority offers parking slots for trailers and vehicles on the parking lot of the Warnow Werft. Please follow the signs to the parking lot of Warnow Werft. Camping area Mittelmole A campsite for participants is based on the Mittelmole on the premises of WIRO GmbH / former Scandlines AG. Tickets for camping are directly available on arrival. Please note that parking and camping space is limited. A reservation of areas is not available! Camping area naval base The camping fee on the ground oft he German Naval Base covers sanitry and shower facilities. Please note that any instruction by Navy officials or security staff must be followed. The following action are not allowed on the campground: • • • • • •
