Wagner Moreira,
was born in 1977 in Barbacena - Brazil and began studying dance in Brazil in 1991, continuing his education in other countries like Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Austria and USA. Additionally, Wagner’s corporal technique in Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance was developed with teachers from Brazil, Argentina, Belgium, USA, England, Cuba, Italy, Russia, Poland, Netherlands, Israel and Germany. As a contemporary dancer, Wagner achieved awards in many dance festivals. In 2001, he became a registered teacher of the “Royal Academy of Dance” of London. As choreographer and corporal trainer, Wagner worked, among other things, on the piece “Ser Minas Tao Gerais,” with the singer Milton Nascimento, Meninos de Aracuaí and the theatre group Ponto de Partida (Brazil). In Portugal, he attended the "Continents in Movement -1998", meeting of cultures in Dance History, promoted by the Dance Department of Faculty of Human Kynetics at the Technical University of Lisbon. As a choreographer he worked in different companies and production in Germany. Also, Wagner has worked as a dancer and guest contemporary teacher in different companies and projects, like the project “Interventionen” in Görlitz 2010, supported by the Europe Union and “Bundesministerium für Familie, Senioren, Frauen und Jugend” and “Europäischer Sozialfonds für Deustschland”. In 2010 he was awarded the scholarship for the ChoreoLAB at the Danubio University Krems- Austria.Now he is finishing the Master of Arts in Choreography at the Palucca University of Dance
Dresden and got in 2011 a scholarship for the “International Choreographer in Residency” (ICR) program by American Dance Festival at the Durham University in North Carolina-USA. In 2012 he received the Prize of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for committed international students. The prize was awarded to the Brazilian postgraduate student in professional choreography for his outstanding social and intercultural commitment His theoretical and practical contributions and benefits are well-founded, clever - challenging, cryptic and profound” states the reasons for the jury. Wagner Moreira was one of the 10 choreographers taking part of the Choreographers`Venture-12 by Impulstanz in Vienna. In 2013 he received the Award ” Prêmio Cena Minas” 2013 and worked as Artist in residency by the “Tecendo Encontros” by Grupo de Danca 1° from Belo Horizonte - Brazil. In – Autumn 2013 worked as guestteacher and choreographer for the A.T. W.Or.K. Project at Palucca University of Dance Dresden. In 2014/15 Artist in Residency and guest teacher at University of Applied Sciences Görlitz/Zittau in Germany. Guest choreographer by Semperoper Dresden, Hellerau- European Centre for the Arts Dresden and Guest Teacher for the professional dance companies like: Gerhart Hauptmann Theater Görlitz, Landesbühnen Sachsen Radebeul, Staatstheater Braunschweig. 2014/2015 two years Scholarship for Master Class Program at Palucca University of Dance Dresden. 2015/2016 coach, performer and assistance for the European Project Un-label in Germany, Turkey and Greece. In Summer 2016 peformer by “These Association” Performance Installation from Tino Sehgal and Artist Director by Massa Mobil - Wandel! Project and curator for “Dresden. Gemeisam Tanzen” at the Day of the Germany Unity. 2017 Juri and Guest Teacher at the Dance Festival of Joinville and teacher at meetsharedance inclusive festival in Berlin. 2018 Guest teacher at Accademia de´l Arte in Arezzo, Prague Conservatoire and Heinrich-Schütz-Konservatorium Dresden.
