Dagli anni novanta Arco è la Mecca dell’arrampicata sportiva italiana. Sono nate infinite falesie e vie a più tiri, alcune delle quali si prestano anche per l’arrampicata in estate. Ne sono un esempio Piccola Dallas, a pochi minuti dal centro storico di Arco, ma anche L’Orto e la falesia di Sanderland in Val di Ledro. Per chi invece è più intressato alle cosiddette vie “plaisir” si può recare alla parete di San Paolo, alla Rupe Secca o al Monte Colt nel primo pomeriggio, dove le pareti garantiscono ombra ed il piacevole vento spira dal lago di Garda. Per un’arrampicata “da cartolina” invece consigliamo il Corno di Bò, poco più a sud di Torbole con le sue placche che terminano direttamente nel lago di Garda, il quale inoltre offre un piacevole vento che comincia a tirare nel primo pomeriggio. Since the nineties, Arco has been the climbing mecca of Italy. Numerous climbing crags and multi-pitch routes have been equipped and several are certainly suitable for the summer. The climbing crag Piccola Dallas, for example, just a few minutes away from the historic center of Arco, is an ideal summer spot. In addition, spots such as L’Orto or Sanderland are located in the Ledro Valley. Those who are more interested in Plaisir routes may want to try to climb the wall of San Paolo, Rupe Secca or the Monte Colt. All three walls are in the shade already in the early afternoon. It is not uncommon to have a cool breeze blowing up from the Lake Garda. The spot Corno di Bò is situated just south of Torbole, directly near Lake Garda, which is providing a refreshing wind in the afternoon.
Seit den 90er Jahren ist Arco das Mekka des Sportkletterns in Italien. Unzählige Sportklettergärten und Mehrseillängenrouten sind entstanden, wobei mehrere durchaus sommertauglich sind. Der Klettergarten Piccola Dallas etwa, der nur wenige Minuten vom historischen Zentrum Arcos entfernt liegt, ist ein ideales Sommergebiet. Dazu gesellen sich Gebiete wie etwa L’Orto oder Sanderland, das im Ledrotal liegt. Wer sich mehr für Plaisirrouten interessiert, kann sich an den Wänden von San Paolo, Rupe Secca oder am Monte Colt versuchen. In allen drei Gebieten sorgen die Wände bereits am frühen Nachmittag für Schatten. Nicht selten weht der wohltuende Wind vom Gardasee herauf. Nur etwas südlich von Torbole befindet sich das Gebiet Corno di Bò. Die Felsen enden direkt im Gardasee, dessen Wind am frühen Nachmittag für Abkühlung sorgt.

Rupe Secca Est Impossibile da non vedere durante l’avvicinamento ad Arco, Rupe Secca è una meta facile da raggiungere. Da vie artificiali a classiche fino a quelle protette molto bene, qui ce n’è per tutti i gusti. Da citare è sicuramente la via Mescalito, che attraversa il centro della parete lungo il ben visibile tetto. È stata aperta nel 1982 da Renzo Vettori e Renato Bernard e rappresenta una pietra miliare nella storia dell’arrampicata della Valle del Sarca. Rupe Secca is highly visible on the drive to Arco and represents an easily reachable destination. The wall offer techno-routes as well as classic climbs and well protected ^ routes. Worth mentioning is the route Mescalito, which runs through the striking big roof in the center of the wall. It was opened in 1982 by Renzo Vettori and Renato Bernard and is a milestone in the climbing history of the Sarca Valley.

Unübersehbar, wenn man nach Arco fährt, stellt die Rupe Secca ein leicht erreichbares Ziel dar. Von Tecnotouren über klassische Anstiege bis zu hervorragend abgesicherten Sportklettertouren findet sich hier für jeden Geschmack etwas. Zu erwähnen ist die Route Mescalito, welche durch das markante große Dach in der Wandmitte zieht. Sie wurde bereits im Jahr 1982 von Renzo Vettori und Renato Bernard eröffnet und stellt einen Meilenstein in der Klettergeschichte des Sarchetales dar.
Come arrivare: All’entrata del paese di Arco proseguire verso il centro e dopo il ponte girare subito a destra. Sempre dritto, in direzione Nord, continuare per ca. 600 m e dopo la parete Rock-Master parcheggiare a destra vicino alla piscina.
Anfahrt: Beim Dorfeingang von Arco Richtung Zentrum und nach der Brücke gleich rechts abbiegen. Weiter geradeaus (Richtung Norden) für ca. 600 Meter. Nach der Rockmaster-Wand rechts beim Schwimmbad parken.
Arrival: Before the center of Arco, turn right immediately after the bridge and continue for another 600 meters. Park at the swimming pool after the Rock Master Wall.

Piccola falesia che giace sulla vecchia strada che portava nelle valli giudicarie (ora adibita a pista ciclabile), Limarock è un pezzo di calcare molto compatto, a differenza di quello che si trova ai suoi lati e offre un arrampicata su roccia ottima. I gradi sono piuttosto alti e le vie non sono molte, ma la sua posizione rende possibile l’arrampicata anche durante le giornate più calde.
Come arrivare: Da Arco in direzione Trento/
Sarche. Arrivati a Sarche svoltare a sinistra in direzione Madonna di Campiglio. Proseguire per i tornanti ed oltrepassare le prime tre gallerie, appena dopo la terza e prima della quarta sulla sinistra si trova un bello spiazzo dove si può parcheggiare la macchina.
Accesso: Attraversare la strada ed andare verso la ciclabile, percorrerla in salita (sinistra) per arrivare poco dopo ai piedi della falesia.
Particolarità Prestare attenzione ai ciclisti che scendono dalla pista ciclabile.

2.1 Limarock
Limarock ist ein kleiner Klettergarten, der sich auf der alten Straße in die Judikarien befindet. Heute ist diese Straße ein Fahrradweg. Es handelt sich, im Gegensatz zu den anliegenden Felsen, um eine kompakte Felswand, die Kletterei in bestem Kalk bietet. Es sind nur wenige, meist schwierige Routen vorhanden, aber dank der überaus günstigen Ausrichtung ist es hier auch möglich, an heißen Tagen zu klettern. Anfahrt: Von Arco Richtung Trient/Sarche fahren. In Sarche links nach Madonna di Campigilo abbiegen. Die Straße über mehrere Kehren hochfahren und die ersten drei Tunnel hinter sich lassen. Kurz nach dem dritten und vor dem vierten Tunnel befindet sich auf der linken Seite ein schöner Platz, wo man parken kann. Zustieg: Die Straße überqueren und den Fahrradweg auf der linken Seite entlanggehen, bis man gleich danach beim Klettergarten ankommt. Limarock is a small climbing crag located on the old road to the Giudicarie Valleys. Today, this road is a cycling path. In contrast to the surrounding walls, it is a very compact rock, offering climbing on superb limestone. The grades are mostly difficult and there are not many routes. The orientation renders climbing possible here on hot days as well. to/Sarche. In Sarche turn left towards Madonna di Campiglio. Follow the road up through a few turns and pass the first three tunnels. Right after the third and before the fourth tunnel, there is a nice spot on the left offering space to park.
Approach: Cross the road and walk along the cycling path for a short distance until you reach the wall.

Die Tour Fattoria degli animali ist vorwiegend durch senkrechte Wandkletterei auf Leisten charakterisiert.

Zustieg: Auf breitem Weg hinter der Absperrung um die Motocrossbahn herum, bis man am oberen Ende der Bahn in den Wald gelangt. Nun auf einem Pfad steil durch den Wald hinauf, bis man auf einen Forstweg stößt. Diesem folgen und auf Pfadspuren (Steinmännchen) direkt unter die Wand; ca.30 min.
Approach: Walk around the motocross track behind the barrier on the wide path until you reach the forest on the upper end of the track. Follow a path steep up through the forest until you reach a forest road. Follow this and then a trail (stone markers) directly to the wall (approx. 30 min.).

Besonderheiten: Der erste Spit fehlt beim Originaleinstieg. Es besteht die Möglichkeit, über die Tour rechts daneben (Land Art) aufs Band zu klettern (1 Spit, evtl. verlängern) und über das Band ein paar Meter zur „Fattoria degli Animali“ zu queren.

Particularities: The first bolt is missing on the original beginning. There is the possibility to climb to the ledge on the nearby route, namely „Land Art“ (1 bolt, extend the quickdraw) and cross the ledge for a few meters to reach „Fattoria degli animali“.
