Meet Shawn

Shawn Shackelton has been in the real estate business in Arizona for over 13 years. Beginning her career establishing and building a property management program for the community of Forest Highlands in Flagstaff, AZ, which is still in operation today, was just the beginning. Scottsdale Artwalk

The 40-year tradition of Scottsdale ArtWalk takes place every Thursday evening from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. in galleries along Main Street and Marshall Way in downtown Scottsdale. Once a week, the galleries extend their hours and show off the work of outstanding artists. ArtWalks typically feature show openings, artist demonstrations, food samplings and more!

Native American Dancing

Celebrate Native American culture with weekly performances of dancers from around Arizona sharing the traditions of their tribes. The performance includes hoop dancing, known as the “dance of life.” Performances take place at the Fountain Court at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa each Friday from 5 – 5:30 p.m., and are free and open to the public.

Helping Scottsdale Residents in Crisis for over 40 years Concerned Citizens for Community Health, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, has been working in partnership with the City of Scottsdale Human Services Division for over 40 years to assist eligible Scottsdale residents in crisis by providing Emergency Support Services. Our organization’s fund raising efforts provide emergency food, transportation, prescriptions, employment services, rent and utility assistance to hundreds of families in need each year.

Ventana Fine Properties was proud to support the 2015 Charles Schwab Cup Championship held at Desert Mountain. The Ventana Fine Properties hospitality team was very busy for four days at the Cochise Golf Course at Desert Mountain supporting the 2015 Charles Schwab Cup Championship event. The weather was perfect for watching inspirational rounds of golf and the company we kept was second-to-none. Once again, we enjoyed seeing all of our Desert Mountain friends and look forward to being back next year.

Ventana Hosts Scottsdale Historian Joan Fudala for “100 Years of Golf in Scottsdale” Event As a special thanks to the Desert Mountain members for allowing us the privilege of supporting the 2015 Charles Schwab Cup Championship, Ventana Fine Properties hosted a presentation by full-time community historian and author, Joan Fudala, on “100 Years of Golf in Scottsdale”. The evening was based on Joan’s book, “Golf in Scottsdale”, which is a retrospective of Joan’s extraordinary knowledge of the game and its history in our area. The event was held at the Chiricahua Clubhouse Grill in beautiful Desert Mountain, overlooking the breathtaking panoramic views of the valley below. Attendees enjoyed food, wine and good conversation while discovering little-known facts gathered from a variety of local archives, historical societies and private collections. As a consulting historian, Joan has researched and provided support to the City of Scottsdale, Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce and the Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, among others. She is the author of seven other books and she has written a history column for the Scottsdale Airpark News for over 15 years.
