EMPLOYMENT REPORT

TO F R I E N D S A N D A S S O C I AT ES O F VA N D E R B I LT B U S I N ES S : I am excited to share the Vanderbilt MBA Class of 2023 full-time employment outcomes and the Class of 2024 internships. This was a year full of milestones, as the MBA Class of 2023 was the first to move into the newly renovated Management Hall. In addition, the class achieved 2 school records for the largest percentage of students to receive a full-time employment offer by graduation (93%) and the highest average starting base salary ($154,052) for a graduating MBA class. A primary reason a student will embark on an MBA degree is to transition a career path to a new industry, job function, or location. Many of our students have made such career transitions this year. Robust recruiting in the consulting industry resulted in 41% of Vanderbilt MBA graduates accepting positions at 17 firms. Financial services, healthcare, and technology were again top industry destinations for the Vanderbilt MBA 2023 graduates. Vanderbilt MBA graduates accepted positions across the United States, from New York to Los Angeles. The top employment destinations were Nashville, New York, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Atlanta. Once again, 100% of the first-year MBAs seeking an internship secured a position during the summer of 2023. The top industries for the Class of 2024 were consulting (29%), financial services (26%), and healthcare (13%). We are grateful to have fantastic recruiting partners who continue to value Vanderbilt MBA graduates for their leadership and collaboration. We rely on our engaged and committed alumni who foster these recruiting relationships and participate in life at Owen through career programming, mentorship, and guidance to current students. We look forward to remaining engaged with you all throughout the 2023-2024 academic year. Sincerely,

Emily Anderson Executive Director, Career Management Center Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management
