Irish born Jennifer Smith came to the Netherlands in 2011 and brought her wonderful talent for creating art with her. Since then, she held several exhibitions with her paintings on canvas and paper, sometimes of incredible size. The theme of her artwork explores concepts of the self. Jennifer explores these concepts through aspects of morality, faith, sexuality, time, space and movement.

KloosterKino presents: Fresh Animation Cinema, first floor, Collection Presentation 21.00 - 01.00

Animation is as old as cinema itself, dating back to the early days when film was a new medium. Even so, animation is still very much in flux these days, influenced as it is by developments in design and computers. For the Young Art Night, KloosterKino, the animation micro-festival from Nijmegen, curated a program of fresh animation: twelve short animated films directed by young animators from all over the world. Want to know where animation is heading right now? Join us in the cinema for a screening that includes My Dad by Marcus Armitage (winner of the Graduation Cristal at the Annecy Festival 2015), the Dutch film Blindelings by Joanne van der Weg (winner of the The Diorapthe award at the Nederlands Film Festival 2014) and the multi-awarded film Loop Ring Chop Drink by Nicolas MĂŠnard.
