LETTER FROM THE EDITOR With the launch of this magazine it can only mean one thing... time to go shopping for a new Fall wardrobe! A whole wardrobe might be a bit much, but there are a few must-have items I have flagged (or already bought!) to usher in the cool, crisp winds of change that will soon blow our way. Already happily hanging out in my closet are the Michael Kors tall brown suede boots from page 57. I fan-girled over these boots the entire four days of the photo shoot, and checked with our Michael Kors store every day until they came in. A great pair of boots is a staple in any closet, and getting them in brown adds a new dimension to any outfit. Waiting to join those boots are some great knit sweaters (like those on pages 42 and 43) and a new pair of skinny jeans. A girl can never have too many jeans, and our amazing stylist Timothy Hung offers up great stylist tips on how to take your jeans through every season. Don’t be intimidated by prints and patterns! Here are two ways to work those beautiful prints you’ll find everywhere this season.

Pattern Mixing Science In this look, we’ve shown two very bold patterns, but the secret to making these work lies in three key elements. First, the patterns are approximately the same scale; second, the patterns are broken up by a solid coloured jacket (note that you could achieve this by using a solid black belt if you didn’t want to go with a jacket); and third, the colour palettes have been brought together with the bright handbag echoing a primary colour in blouse. Now, add some simple make-up, a nude lip, and the finishing touch of a silver bracelet and voila! You’ve nailed it!
