Kristin Higy

Director of Basketball Operations • Albany ‘08 HIGY AT A GLANCE While playing professionally • In the spring of 2009 played for the Division II QSTV Dragons (Quakenbrück, Germany) • In the fall of 2008 played for the Division I BC Nokia (Nokia, Finland)

Kristin Higy enters her first season at UNH. She is responsible for all team travel, community service and life skills liaison, continued development of alumni and the friends of women’s basketball group, summer clinics and all other administrative duties. Higy, a Akron, Ohio native, graduated from the University at Albany in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Business. While playing for the Great Danes, she was a two-year letterwinner, served as the team’s captain from 2006-08 and was named to the America East All-Conference Third Team during her senior season. Prior to her stint with Albany, Higy was a two-year letterwinner with George Mason University, where she was named to the Colonial Athletic Association All-Academic Team in 2005. In the fall of 2008, Higy began her professional basketball career with BC Nokia, a Division I team in Nokia, Finland. Following her stint with BC Nokia, Higy joined the Division II QSTV Dragons in Quakenbrück, Germany in the spring of 2009, leading the team to a playoff appearance and a top three finish.

Cole on Higy: “I am excited to have Kristin join our staff. As a collegiate player she understands the demands and rigors of college basketball. She can relate to our players and she has a sincere desire to help develop them as people and as athletes. She is very organized and a hard worker, both are essential to her role as Director of Basketball Operations.”

Kathryn Blais

Student Manager Kathryn Blais enters her third season as team manager for the women’s basketball team. She is responsible for filming the team’s games, assisting in team travel, as well as helping coordinate daily practices. Blais, a Berlin, N.H. native, is currently in her senior year at the University of New Hampshire and is planning to complete her master’s degree in Physical Education and Health next year.
