JUNIOR • FORWARD • 5-11 • 195 BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. • U.S. NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (USNP) 2009-10: McCarey appeared in 29 games for New Hampshire… Registered six points on four assists and two goals… Posted a season-high two points both on assists against then first-ranked Miami (10/16).

Personal: Born in Baldwinsville, New York on March 24, 1990 to Rob and MaryJane McCarey...Shoots right...Majoring in sports studies...Aside from hockey he enjoys golf, lacrosse and fishing...Lists his favorite athlete as Lance Armstrong and his parents as the people he admires most.

2008-09: McCarey played in eight games as a freshman and added depth to the Wildcat offense. Career Milestones: Career high two points Oct. 16, 2009 vs. Miami... First goal Jan. 9 , 2010 vs. UMass... First assist Oct. 16, 2009 vs. Miami. Before UNH: McCarey played two seasons with the USA National Development Program...In that time, the forward skated in 64 games and notched 20 goals and 11 assists, for a total of 31 points...Was on the 2008 U-18 World Championships that finished third...In addition, his teams won the gold at the 5-nations cup once and 4-nations cup twice while in the USDP...Before his time with the USA Development Program, McCarey played for the Syracuse Stars of the Eastern Junior Hockey League...In his one-year stint with Syracuse he played in 45 games and amassed an 11-12-23 scoring line.
