The leadership skills Osamah Maqsood '20, marketing, developed in the classroom and by participating in student organizations helped him land an internship at health digital agency Viscira. The internships led to a permanent position as a business development & marketing associate after graduation.
As one of the 22 interns selected for the Commonwealth Financial Network’s Summer Internship Program out of 530 applicants, Chase Reardon ’20, finance, used multiple databases to develop and update training materials for financial advisors. He’s now a service advisor at a private wealth management firm.

engineering In your first year at the College of Engineering, a specially designed course immerses you in multidisciplinary engineering activities that have you working in teams and gaining hands-on experience. In your senior year, a capstone project will enable you to demonstrate your engineering knowledge and skills with a team of your peers and professionals facing real-life challenges. nursing & health sciences The College of Nursing & Health Sciences offers the university’s two professional health science degrees—Nursing and Medical Laboratory Science. Our faculty are nurse scientists and experienced clinical practitioners who work closely with undergraduates in and out of the classroom. Both programs are direct entry, and you’ll begin taking health science courses during your first year. Our rigorous curriculum and diverse clinical and mentorship experiences provide you with the knowledge, skills, and critical-thinking abilities essential for success in your health care career. Students who have completed high school or the equivalent, and whose academic performance may not demonstrate readiness for university-level work, may be eligible for admission through College Now or START.
