WELCOME TO THE COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS Many employers consider liberal arts study the best preparation for a professional career. This is because the liberal arts emphasize broad knowledge, intellectual skills and personal and social responsibility. In the College of Liberal Arts, we strengthen this by emphasizing global courses and real-world learning activities, such as: study abroad experiences, internships, and service-learning courses. College of Liberal Arts students are committed to global learning and understanding; the need to make a positive difference in society; and a willingness to continue learning throughout life. Join us in pursuing a valuable liberal arts education.

uca.edu/liberalarts The course work and the mix of instructors have broadened my knowledge of Community and Economic Development in a way that would have taken much longer if only “learning on the job. The MS in Community and Economic Development program has the added benefit of being delivered fully online via Blackboard. This has allowed me to balance school, a full-time job, and a growing family - all while being two hours away from the campus! This also allows interaction with classmates from different parts of the state, country, and world - providing me with valuable insights into CED activities in areas other than my own.
