The Format

The top 12 Conference USA teams will compete in the conference tournament, with the champion receiving the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Teams receiving a bye shall be seeded 1-4 based on overall conference finish during regular season play. The remaining eight teams will be seeded 5-12 with the No. 5 seed playing No. 12, No. 6 vs. No. 11, No. 7 vs. No. 10, and No. 8 vs. No. 9.

CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2012 Conference USA Men’s Basketball Tournament is scheduled for March 7-10 in the FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn.
