Every neighbour I spoke to was helpful and willing to answer my questionnaire. This just goes to prove the kind of neighbourhood I live in. Being the only students in the road we can at times feel excluded but it goes to show that if we need their help, our neighours will always pull through for us. Most people I spoke to asked me inside and offered me a drink, one even went to the trouble of phoning her friend for additional information about they road. She also pointed me in the direction of a lady who had lived here all her life and a man who lived in the road parallel to Calcott and gave history talks about Knowle and the surrounding areas. She said he could help me with the history of my road and the old police station. When I spoke to him he was more than helpful, going out of his way to make calls to his friends and then his brother to help gain information. A lot of the people in this community have lived here for the majority if not all their lives and it has become second nature for them to go the extra mile to help a friend. This is clearly a very tight knit neighbourhood and I like it very much.

1pm-1.15pm I sat outside my house for 15 minutes one Monday and recorded the amount of things that happened around me. The amount of people who walked past, the amount of vehicles parked and how many drove by. Initially I wanted to do this to work out what kind of people used my road and what for. As I live quite near Temple Meads stations and there are no parking restrictions here I thought that there would be a lot of commuters. However, this turned out not to be the case and the majority of people passing through my road were either residents or tradesmen coming to work in or around the houses in the street.
