Huis Boland het onlangs ’n nuwe Hyundaibussie in ontvangs geneem. Hier is Hennie Coetzee (regs, bestuurder van Huis Boland) en die inwoners Hester Muller en Johan Kotze. Dié bussie is aangekoop omdat die vorige bussie baie oud en nie meer betroubaar was om inwoners te vervoer nie. Inwoners word op ’n weeklikse basis na ’n kruidenierswinkel en Tygervalleiwinkelsentrum geneem.

Bellville 65 Round Table will be staging the event “The Winter Nights of Round Table” and are relying on the community to donate blankets, non-perishable food, clothes, linen, shoes, toys, bric-a-brac, toiletries and other items between 16 and 29 June. Furry friends are once again included in this community drive and vital sought-after items in need to keep them comfortable include blankets, beds, kennels and food. This effort forms part of a charity initiative being staged across the entire Southern Africa region, from Durban to Swakopmund
and Polokwane to Cape Town. This way, Round Tablers will experience what it feels like to be at the mercy of the elements and to rely on the generosity of the public. The cause will be kicking off on 16 June at the Bellville 65 Round Table clubhouse (situated opposite DF Malan High School) and donations can be delivered from 12:00 onwards. The international rugby game between South Africa and England will be shown at 17:00, with bar facilities available and steak rolls on sale. Bellville Round Table 65 invites the public to bring donations to The Hollow Tree (formerly known as Krige’s Restaurant) on the evening of 29 June, the day the drive ends.
