Operators of the Durham Market are looking for new owners to take over the Main Street deli, grocery and butcher shop. Felicia Moncada, who has worked for the store on and off for some 16 years, said owners Amit and Reshma Patel and Walter and Lisa Tregoning took over operations two years ago and are looking to pass it off.

Joe Pizza owner to take over, rename Time Out Taverne By Bailey Wright Town Times
The owners of Joe Pizza in Simsbury bought the former Time Out Taverne in Brett Monday, May 20. “It’s official ... had the closing on the building today future home of the Horseshoe Taverne,” Joe Pizza posted on Facebook. “Time to get dirty and get to work and get open!!!!!” Time Out Taverne, 100 New Haven Road, closed abruptly
in February for unknown reasons. The owners could not be reached for comment. Joe Pizza owner Chris Giotsas could not be reached for comment, but the restaurant’s Facebook page said the business is trying for an August or September opening, depending on how renovations go. After posting on social media about the purchase, community members expressed excitement, con-
cerns and asked questions. Joe Pizza answered some questions on the site. “We will have a very wide variety of menu items we fresh grind our burgers daily and we make everything from scratch. Bereavement study The Stepping Forward in Grief Study tests two evidencebased online/app programs created by scientists and clinicians at Uniformed Services University and Columbia University to address grief-related challenges.
These programs were developed in response to earlier research suggesting that grief-related challenges can occur among bereaved military survivors, even many years following a loss, and that many surviving loved ones desire additional support. The study is now open to close friends and family members of those who died before or after Sept. 11, 2001 while serving in the military or as a result of their military service.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off: A timeless, teen romp For anyone who has ever faced the challenges of middle school or high school and, yes, that is most of us, Ferris Bueller has always been our idol. With unbridled zeal, he makes us envy his disdain for the ordinary and admire the fearlessness through which he escapes it. Ferris is the only one we knew who had the guts to skip school, and not hide in his house while doing it. If you were in high school in the 1980s, there is another reason you love this young man. He brings us back to the golden-aged goodness of that time. Remember when MTV had that great bumper
music and the animated astronaut? Remember arcades, when your love of video games gave you a reason to be out in the world, instead of the longing to hide from it? Remember going to a baseball game, and not looking at your phone? This brings us to the challenge that comes with public adoration for this movie. Anyone born after the year 2000 considers it dated. Yes, there are cordless phones, answering machines and giant computers with blinking amber-toned letters, but we need to encourage the next generation to focus on what is timeless here. Ferris was brilliant in con-
vincing his parents that he was sick, but he was wise enough to know that he had to make the most of this day, because he was risking his own graduation from high school. While the most famous line from the movie is. “Life moves pretty fast; if you don’t stop to look around once in a while, you might miss it,” I think the more significant message comes when our truant is speculating on the day ahead with his friends. “The question isn’t what are we going to do? The question is what aren’t we going to do?”

Alas, the great unraveling April, and my house always has shed its winter garb by then, too. There’s been a bit of a delay this year, though, due to the fickleness of Mother Nature. Every year my beloved abode must be cloaked for the winter. Apparently it is
