Inspection Modeling Every construction project has the potential for inspection errors – something is missed, work is covered up before being inspected, or a discrepancy isn’t corrected in time. These can cause delays, increase costs and require workers to remove fireproofing or other concealing materials so that the inspection can be completed.
With Inspection Modeling, we identify areas of each site that require special inspections and model them in 3D. Our engineers place QR codes throughout the jobsite, which users scan with their cell phones. This opens the 3D model in an augmented reality app, displaying the status of each inspection point in the user’s vicinity. Inspectors can use the same technology to update inspection status in real time directly from their cell phones.
