Survivability Capabilities – Testing Relevant Experience Over 50 years of vulnerability-reduction experience on naval platforms for ADF, UK MOD and US DOD. Staff has worked with every active and future naval combatant platform and active land platform in Australia. Currently working with DNE, DSTG and organisations delivering capability to the Royal Australian Navy. JASSO portable shock-testing machine; heavyweight shock testing.

Our team in Australia has 60+ years of combined experience working directly on Australian Defence survivability projects.

Capabilities

Certifications, Standards & Awards

Key AUS staff have either chartered engineering status, master’s degrees in weapons and ordnance or doctorates focused on the protection of structures.

Carry out all aspects of shock testing, from designing globally accepted tests to conducting testing.

Provide portable testing of equipment up to 5 tonnes.

Conduct heavyweight shock testing (<27 tonnes) in conjunction with Defence.

Perform in-water testing of equipment, structures and platforms.

Manage full suite of shock and vibration qualification services with support from testing partners.

Perform modal analysis of structures.

Support airblast, buried charge, shaped charge, IED and ballistic testing through trial management, risk assessment documentation, instrumentation, firing officers, advanced modelling and data analysis.

Key AUS staff have received awards from Defence for their contributions to land/maritime platform survivability, as well as other international awards for their work. DISP Accreditation
