4TH ANNUAL J/FEST SOUTHWEST SLATED FOR NOV. 2-3 J/Fest Southwest Committee Chairman Al Goethe has announced that Lakewood Yacht Club (LYC) will be hosting its 4th Annual J/Fest Southwest Regatta on Sat., Nov. 2 and Sun., Nov. 3. “We wanted to get a ‘save the date’ message out to racers now as formerly the regatta has been held in October,” Goethe explained. The regatta is open to the public and all races will be held on Galveston Bay.

TMCA SPRING FLING • May 17, 18 & 19 The Texas Mariner’s Cruising Association (TMCA) and the City of Baytown are joining forces to host the 3rd annual Spring Fling from May 17th to 19th. Imagine Galveston Bay filled with over 150 recreational sail and power boats making their way to the brand new Bayland Marina for a weekend of entertainment and philanthropy! There will be a Trade Show, Boats on Display, Boating Seminars, Live Bands, great food and the camaraderie of the Gulf Coast boating community. One design fleets slated for the J/Fest Southwest Regatta include J/22, J/24, J/70, J/80, J/105, and the J/109. It will be a circuit stop for the J/24, J/70, J/80, J/105 and J/109 classes. Race tracking will be available to the onedesign classes and can be observed live on large screen TV’s in the clubhouse.
