Jorge Luis Gaviria Editor Jefe Este nuevo año 2024 lo iniciamos con nuestra edición No.- 047, momento de ir un día a la vez a nuestro quinto año de labores ininterrumpidas, por lo que agradecemos a Dios Todopoderoso; a cada uno de ustedes lectores, con mayor madurez y compromiso en llevar ante ustedes como establece nuestro Lema: La Verdad en sus Manos, con la mejor calidad de análisis en cada tema tratado, cada página alejada de temas violentos, tratamos que nuestro periódico mensual y en los idiomas inglés y español, llegue a ustedes tanto impreso como digital con información estimulante y veráz. Reconocemos con mucha humildad que todavía tenemos debilidades en el dominio adecuado de algunos títulos en el idioma inglés; venimos trabajando en nuestro periódico bilingüe, desde nuestra fundación en 2019 con un equipo multidisciplinario. En 1637 un hombre salió de Inglaterra en parte huyendo de la persecución religiosa y se estableció en la ciudad de Charlestown, en Boston, donde fue nombrado pastor de una Iglesia Cristiana Congregacional (iglesia cristiana protestante de origen calvinista que practica el gobierno congregacionalista). Antes de Morir, donó la mitad de su patrimonio y su biblioteca, a una nueva institución universitaria, que había sido fundada el 8 de septiembre de 1636. Esta universidad adoptó su nombre por las virtudes de tan distinguida personalidad. Ese hombre se llamó John Harvard. En el génesis, nos relata como Dios Todopoderoso, lo creo todo y como le dio vida al hombre y a la mujer, los bendijo y les dijo: “fructificad y multiplicaos; llenad la tierra, y sojuzgadla, y señoreadla. Encontramos allí que somos el centro y cumbre de toda obra creadora de Dios, la biblia enseña y revela al hombre el sentido y propósito de su existencia con la finalidad de orientar su vida como creyente.

Lo primero que podemos aconsejar a las parejas, para tener un buen matrimonio es entender y reconocer que el matrimonio fue idea exclusiva de nuestro creador, es un pacto donde se asume por ambas partes c o m p r o m i s o d e a m o r, fi d e l i d a d y responsabilidades para toda la vida, por lo tanto, se debe tomar a Jesús, como fundamento principal. Un buen matrimonio establece como cimiento, como base estable, como Roca a Jesucristo, estableciendo así una relación de tres partes: Jesucristo, esposo y esposa, como nos indica la palabra en Eclesiastés 4:12 “Si alguno prevaleciere contra uno, dos le resistirán, y cordón de tres dobleces no se rompe pronto”. La biblia es nuestro manual de convivencia, ella nos capacita, nos instruye a ser esposos, indica nuestras funciones y responsabilidades, nos muestra cómo construir una relación basada en la aceptación, el perdón, la humildad, misericordia y el propósito de Dios como pareja y con nuestros hijos. A nuestros hijos, nuestra juventud hoy día, les aconsejo lo que el apóstol Pablo le enseño al Joven Timoteo en su primera carta dirigida a él, 1era. De Timoteo 4:12 “Ninguno tenga en poco su juventud, sino sed ejemplo de los creyentes en palabra, conducta, amor, espíritu, fe y pureza”, ciertamente el apóstol insta y motiva a este joven a vivir el

evangelio sin que su edad y su juventud sean un impedimento a la hora de servir a Cristo y a la iglesia. La juventud es maravillosa, es estar lleno de energías y fuerzas es el mejor momento para acordarnos de nuestro Creador y no esperar que lleguen los días en los que ya no se tienen las mismas fuerzas y donde el sol se apaga. Un joven sin Cristo,es vulnerable para actuar y experimentar comportamientos necios y destructivos, por buscar ser aceptados por amigos en esta sociedad que nos rodea y promueve los placeres del mundo sin privarse de nada, dejando una condenación y perdición eterna y alejados del propósito por el cual fueron creados.En lo personal agradecemos a Dios, por elegirnos por enseñarnos que Él, es el TODO, nos ha guiado y sustentado, hoy por hoy nos permite estar sirviendo en la Iglesia Center Point Hilliard, quienes me han acogido fraternalmente y con quienes podemos celebrar el Amor de Cristo, para ellos nuestro agradecimiento, y les motivamos a seguir avanzando y conociendo al Eterno, al Dios Todopoderoso, Al Unico, El Gran Yo Soy, sigamos los consejos del apóstol Pablo ( Hombre de Gran Impacto en la expansión del Evangelio): Filipenses 3:13-14 y 16 “Hermanos, yo mismo no pretendo haberlo ya alcanzado; pero una cosa hago: olvidando ciertamente lo que queda atrás, y extendiéndome a lo que está delante, proseguimos a la meta, al premio del supremo llamamiento de Dios en Cristo Jesús.

Pero en aquello a que hemos llegado, sigamos una misma norma, sintamos una misma cosa”. Mantengamos nuestra fe y mirada en Cristo en quien tenemos Salvación y Vida Eterna, que nada nos aparte de Él, busquemos la llenura de su Espíritu Santo, mantengamos nuestras lámparas encendidas y estemos atentos porque Cristo viene pronto a buscar a su Iglesia. Estemos todos atentos al mensaje de los siguientes integrantes del Equipo Vencedor; gracias por tan importante reflexión y mensaje basado en el Evangelio por parte de María y Luis.

Tenemos tres aspectos de la vida que debemos abrazar e incluirlos en nuestro corazón para enfrentar esa Maldad : la Fé, el Compromiso y el Amor.

EL SENTIDO DE LA VIDA / THE MEANING OF LIFE Cualquiera de nosotros, sin distinción de capacidades o preparación, seguramente han pensado en la búsqueda de la trascendencia de la vida, también hay personas que jamás se han hecho las preguntas de rigor, ¿quién soy?, ¿a dónde voy?, ¿cuál es el objeto de mi existencia?". Podemos pensar que nuestra vida sí tiene sentido y objeto porque hacemos un trabajo útil, y en cambio, parece que hay otros, tal vez la mayoría, cuyas vidas no tienen sentido porque pasan por ésta carentes hasta de las necesidades básicas e incapaces de influir en alguna tarea necesaria a la sociedad, sin darnos cuenta de que esta misma reflexión que provocan en nosotros ya es útil, porque si algunos pueden decirse "no me toca a mí cambiar esta condición", otros, por el contrario, harán motivo central y apasionado de su vida al intentarlo.

Se sufre mucho por falta de amor y no podemos remediarlo fácilmente. Hay otras secuelas, tales como infidelidades y celos, en todo lo cual se han gastado lágrimas. Pero, la falta de correspondencia y su drama no es sólo en esta forma de amor, sino también en las relaciones filiales, fraternales, familiares y amistosas. Hay mucho desamor y por eso presenciamos, hoy más que nunca, no sólo la indiferencia entre seres que deberían amarse y ayudarse, sino hasta hechos monstruosos que registran los medios de comunicación social. Hay otros factores y situaciones que nos pueden ayudar a encontrar el sentido a la vida.

El encuentro. Sin ser siquiatras ni sicólogos, cuando nos encontramos ante casos de depresión, neurastenia o ansiedad, damos un consejo por simple sentido común: "ocúpate de algo", "interésate en algo o en alguien".

Estamos dando un principio elemental para encontrarle sentido trascendente a la vida, en decir: "sal de ti". El encierro en el "yo" es lo más intrascendente y trágico. El "yo" es un vacío, sólo cobra peso y medida cuando se llena del " tú". No podemos hacer que nos amen, pero nosotros sí podemos empeñarnos en amar, en aprender. El primer ejercicio para encontrar el sentido trascendente es buscar un objeto de amor y enamorarnos. ¿Cómo? Como se aprende toda disciplina en esta vida, con ejercicios de repetición. El cantante tiene su voz de nacimiento, pero para convertirse en un profesional trabaja a diario sus escalas. Así su voz crece robusta, estalla en fuerza y armonía y el auditorio se conmueve.

El dolor. Todos hemos sufrido un poco del dolor, sobre todo ligado al amor. El dolor, como el arte, es inútil, pero necesario. El hombre podría nacer, alimentarse, crecer, reproducirse y morir sin arte ni dolor, ¿por qué no? Sería el mismo hombre, pero... ¿en realidad lo sería? .El dolor se necesita como se necesita la oscuridad para saber lo que es la luz. En el cristianismo, principalmente, es medio eficaz e indispensable de redención.

Vemos entonces que sobre estos dos pivotes del amor y del dolor, que tanto se encuentran entre ellos, porque es difícil amar sin sufrir y el sufrimiento cobra significación cuando se ama, se realiza el sentido trascendente de la vida. Cuando vamos a concretar en la búsqueda de esta trascendencia,

empezamos por la aceptación pasiva de aquello que se nos presenta con su cuota de dolor, lo cual queremos y podemos transformar en manifestación de amor, en ofrecimiento por un fin alto. Comprender este significado de dolor, aceptándolo, por ejemplo en el entrenamiento deportivo no hay placer en sí, es un esfuerzo del músculo a menudo bastante doloroso. El placer está en cuanto es promesa de triunfos en la competencia final. Igual en el entrenamiento del espíritu, del alma, para adquirir la dimensión trascendente: es un esfuerzo fatigante, doloroso, pero enriquecido de gozo en la esperanza. El fracaso, es un alerta para cambiar de rumbo, para no envanecerse con capacidades prestadas; un motivo para ahondar en el estudio, acrecentar el esfuerzo, templar la constancia.

Frecuentemente salimos más enriquecidos de los fracasos que de los éxitos, porque éstos se gozan y muchas veces se nos suben a la cabeza, aquéllos nos invitan a analizar y reflexionar.

El instinto de trascendencia. En el espíritu humano hay un instinto de trascendencia, todos experimentan angustia existencial y desean permanecer con sus obras, dejar rastro, cuesta aceptar esa desaparición total y, por supuesto, existe el miedo a morir. La nada aterra. La alegría. Quien tiene un sentido trascendente de la vida, está alegre. Todos conocemos la alegría del deber cumplido. Cuando se nos ha encomendado un trabajo, una misión y terminamos, sentimos alegría. A mayor dificultad, complicación y número de obstáculos, mayor alegría al acabar.

El descanso. Sentido trascendente de la vida es darle también valor creador al reposo. Necesitamos reparar las fuerzas y por eso, la recreación y el descanso son necesarios. Ese tiempo del ocio del cual tanto se habla, es tiempo de enriquecimiento para las artes y para la salud física y mental.

También el ocio puede y debe ser trascendente. Ahora que tocamos el descanso, hay un descanso obligado en la vejez y la enfermedad, entonces, darle a este sentido trascendente, es aceptar nuestra falta de vigencia, nuestros impedimentos, nuestra necesidad de ayuda, nuestra soledad y gozar de ese ocaso, de esa proximidad a la eternidad. En ese atardecer de la vida disminuye en nosotros todo: piernas, vista, oído, que eso no sea motivo de desesperación sino de gozosa ganancia, de rica vida interior, ahora nos toca contemplar, a la luz dorada del crepúsculo, que todo lo embellece, el significado profundo de las cosas y en paz. El desprendimiento. Sentido trascendente en la amistad: darse, más que recibir. No llevar contabilidad como tampoco en el amor. En las relaciones. del cariño el trueque exacto es una mala medida, sólo termina por crear una relación mezquina y precaria. Un ejercicio de la voluntad para poder vivir esa alegría constante y trascendente, que se exhala, es desprendernos, prescindir tanto de las cosas materiales que debemos usar como prestadas corno de algunas que parecen más nobles por ser de orden intelectual y espiritual, tales: opiniones, recuerdos, aficiones.

Desprendimiento es darse al otro pero no con resignación ni sufrimiento, sino con gozo, alegría.

Y aquí estamos iniciando otro año un nuevo periodo para el crecimiento, para la consecución de las metas, para la práctica de los valores que enaltecen al ser humano, para la vida. Lo hecho durante el período o año anterior queda para juzgar, para rechazar lo malo que pudo haber en él, lo que no aportó en ningún sentido para así desecharlo mientras lo bueno fue y es para enriquecer. Llega 2024 y con el, casi el transcurrir de el primer cuarto del siglo 21; cuando volteamos hacia el recuerdo pareciera que el tiempo volara pero es cuestión de percepción porque si enfocamos hacia adelante 24 o 25 años son muchos y eso es lo que transcurrió desde el año 2000 hasta este 2024, muchos años.

Sin embargo, que nos falta?, que buscamos aún? Tenemos un tiempo límite? A todos nos falta mucho por hacer, nunca es ni debe ser poco para el trabajo honesto y duro porque ese mismo nos lleva al bienestar propio y del nuestros allegados, por esa razón el tiempo restante siempre es y será poco si lo enfocamos hacia adelante, hacia el crecimiento de los que vienen detrás nuestro y que son nuestra razón de seguir luchando; pero sin olvidar a los que nos ayudaron a llegar hasta el sitio que hoy estamos ocupando. La tarea de acabar con el machismo no es un asunto solamente de mujeres: hacen falta muchos hombres sensibilizados contra el patriarcado que defiendan y practiquen la paridad y la igualdad de oportunidades entre hombres y mujeres porque es bueno para ellas pero también para ellos. Aquí 10 sencillos consejos para que divulgues y pongas en práctica: 1. El rol en la vida de una mujer no es casarse y tener hijos. Las mujeres no son máquinas reproductoras, obligadas a ser madres, aunque no lo deseen. Deja de preguntar a las jóvenes cuando se casan y cuándo tendrán descendencia.

2. Si te unes en pareja, entiende que la labor doméstica debe formar parte de tu agenda diaria. No es que estés ayudando o colaborando: es que también es tu responsabilidad. Así, antes de salir al trabajo y cuando regresas a la casa, participa en las labores de la casa y del cuidado de las personas dependientes que vivan contigo sin que tengan que pedírtelo.

3. Si tienes hijos, ejerce tu paternidad a tiempo completo. Ese bebé lo parió ella, pero también es tuyo. Debes estar ahí tanto en los buenos momentos (parque, vacaciones, juegos) como en los no tan buenos (tareas, baño, enfermedades, citas del colegio…).

4. La menstruación no es motivo para atribuir comportamientos irracionales a las mujeres, ni una limitación que las incapacite para nada. Es un proceso biológico normal que debe ser respetado.

5. Evita los chistes sexistas o misóginos; son discriminatorios y vejatorios. Tampoco hagas burlas de las mujeres por su aspecto físico o por

no adaptarse a cánones de belleza estereotipados.

No incurras en actos de violencia de género. No sólo un golpe grave es violencia: también un “piropo” ofensivo. No abuses de tu superioridad física para obtener lo que deseas. Entiende que las relaciones sexuales no consentidas son violación. No es no.

7. Siéntete libre de expresar tus emociones. Llorar, reír, manifestar miedo, ternura y rabia, son parte importante de nuestro desarrollo como seres humanos. Una mujer que llora en su trabajo quizá no es que sea débil, sino que se siente comprometida, y así lo expresa. Un niño varón que llora no implica que sea más débil ni que esté en riesgo su hombría. Respeta su emocionalidad, aprende a manejarla y haz un esfuerzo por comprender.

8. Escucha más, observa más. No sientas que por ser hombre mereces tus privilegios. No pretendas hablar siempre y siempre tener la razón. No es necesario que “enseñes” a tu pareja lo que creas que debe saber.

Practica la escucha paciente y el diálogo respetuoso.

9. Si eres o llegas a ser jefe de mujeres, dales crédito por sus méritos, sin apropiártelos. Ofréceles oportunidades y apóyalas en su desarrollo. Intenta tener un equipo equilibrado y diverso.

10. No participes en actividades donde no haya representación de mujeres. La población está constituida a partes iguales entre hombres y mujeres, y así debe ser en todos los espacios de poder. Lucha por la paridad, la equidad, la inclusión, el respeto y la diversidad. Son objetivos de desarrollo de países que buscan mejores estándares de bienestar.

Son conceptos sencillos, pero los avances que hagamos por adoptarlos y actuar bajo estas ideas pueden generar cambios positivos notables.
