Este hecho histórico es tomado del libro BAJO DIOS escrito por Toby Mac y Michael Tait, en la que narra algo que ocurrió en una famosa batalla del 9 de julio de 1755, en un campo de Pittsburgh. En este relato se menciona que los guerreros de las tribus Ottawa, Hurón y Chippewa, dispararon muchas veces hacia el último oficial montado a caballo. Los tiradores le dispararon más de 13 ráfagas, incluso, un bravo, testificó: le disparé 17 veces, sin obstáculos y después de todo no pude derribarlo. De pronto, el jefe de las tribus dijo “Cesen el fuego”, este hombre está bajo la protección especial. Al llegar la noche cuando este oficial se quitó su ropa, observó en ellas rasgaduras de bala y específicamente en su casaca encontró, cuatro agujeros de bala, pero en su cuerpo no había ni un rasguño, lo cual le dejó maravillado. Este oficial de 23 años de edad, llegó a convertirse posteriormente en el primer presidente de los Estados Unidos de América. 15 años después, él regresó al mismo lugar para tener un encuentro con el jefe indígena y este dijo: El Gran Espíritu protege a ese hombre y señaló a Washington y

dirige su destino y se convertirá en jefe de Naciones y un pueblo todavía por nacer, lo aclamará cómo el fundador de un imperio poderoso. GEORGE WASHINGTON GEORGE WASHINGTON. A Christian Destined to Found a Great Nation. This historical fact is taken from the book UNDER GOD written by Toby Mac and Michael Tait, in which they narrate something that occurred in a famous battle on July 9, 1755, in a field in Pittsburgh. Este principio es importante que como parejas lo entendamos. Dios es el primer interesado en que tengamos buenos matrimonios y que la Familia sea un valor importante para sus hijos. Cuando las parejas se ponen de acuerdo, oran en un mismo sentir y tienen los mismos intereses, se desata un Poder Sobrenatural y verán sus oraciones respondidas, relaciones restauradas, familias unidas. Hemos entregado nuestra familia en las manos de Dios, hemos decidido creer en Jesucristo como nuestro único y suficiente S a l v a d o r. C r e e m o s q u e s i b u s c a m o s primeramente el Reino de Dios y su justicia todo lo demás vendrá por añadidura. (Mateo 6:33) Procuremos juntos crecer en la Fe, crecer en el conocimiento de Dios y pedir cada día Sabiduría de lo alto para tomar decisiones. La Gracia de Dios es suficiente… Jesucristo obra a nuestro favor. ¿Que consejo le dan a los jóvenes? Lo mejor que un joven puede hacer es buscar a Dios en las decisiones de la vida. El conoce nuestros planes y nuestros deseos, y también quiere lo mejor para nosotros. Especialmente en esta etapa de la vida, Dios quiere proveernos con ayuda y dirección. Cómo dice su palabra, “Confía de todo corazón en el Señor y no en tu propia inteligencia. Ten presente al Señor en todo lo que hagas, y él te llevará por el camino recto. (Proverbios‬3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬)‭. Cuando

conﬁamos en nuestra limitada inteligencia, nos perdemos de los buenos planes de Dios para nuestras vidas. Él quiere impactar a las personas a través de nosotros, pero debemos dejarnos guiar. ¿Que consejo le envían a los miembros de la Iglesia Center Point Hilliard, para ser unos mejores discípulos de Cristo, y su compromiso con la Iglesia y el servicio en la Iglesia del Señor? Es maravilloso saber que perteneces a una comunidad de Fe y que formamos parte del cuerpo de Cristo, que es La Iglesia. Dios se complace cuando habitamos juntos y en armonía, allí envía el Señor Bendición y vida eterna, así como dice el Salmo 133. Es un honor y un privilegio poder ser llamados discípulos de Cristo y al mismo tiempo es un acto de valentía, porque sabes que serás transformado de tu vieja manera de pensar y serás conformado a la imagen de Cristo, con un corazón y una mente renovada por su palabra. La palabra de Dios es verdad y un discípulo está llamado a obedecerla por encima de sus sentimientos, creyendo que la obediencia trae Bendición y nos hace crecer en nuestra relación con El. Dios nos amó primero, nos restauró y nos ha dado el privilegio de empezar una nueva vida en Cristo. Dios es un buen Padre y anhela tener comunión con sus hijos. Como seguidores de Jesús, hemos sido perdonados y santiﬁcados. Y debido a que Dios es Santo y estamos hechos a su imagen, también estamos llamados a vivir como Él. 1 Pedro 1:15-16 Sino como aquel que os llamó es santo, sed también vosotros santos en todo lo que hagan; porque está escrito: “Sed santos, porque yo soy Santo.” Seamos agradecidos por su gran Misericordia. Tengamos presente el primer Amor mostrado en la Cruz, donde Cristo ganó nuestra Salvación, pagó por nuestros pecados y hoy podemos tener Paz en él. Mantenernos en el primer amor nos ayudará a corresponder con actos de Servicio y Amor por su obra salvadora, el servicio al prójimo y el compromiso con la Iglesia. Somos llamados a tener un corazón de siervos con una Fe viva manifestada en las buenas obras. La verdadera grandeza comienza con la humildad. La Biblia nos dice que para ser grandes hay que servir a los demás. Y la humildad es el centro del corazón de un siervo. Debemos de crecer para que el carácter de Cristo pueda crecer en nosotros. Cuando recibimos a Cristo, Su Espíritu Santo viene a morar en nuestros corazones y nos invita a ser luz y sal de la tierra. Muchas personas necesitan conocer el amor del Padre y la obra redentora de Jesucristo. Muchos necesitan Paz y restauración. Ahora es el momento de Amar como Dios Ama y ser diferentes – ¡Para compartir las grandes nuevas sobre Jesús! Marcos 16:15 Jesús les dijo, “Id por todo el mundo y predicad el evangelio a toda la creación.”

That love that exceeds all knowledge and all human reason, enables you to Love your partner as Christ Loves you, to forgive as Christ forgives you and to care for your family with a heart full of gratitude for His Mercy that, has allowed us to remain together. (Ephesians 3:19) The Grace of God, which is the presence of His power, has sustained us in difficult circumstances and it has been those moments that have helped us grow more in Faith and depend more on Him every day. We have learned to wait and trust in His Will, which is Good and Perfect. God has given couples a power: “The Power of Agreement.” When couples agree, pray with the same feeling and have the same interests, a Supernatural Power is unleashed and they will see their prayers answered, relationships restored, families united. We have given our family into the hands of God; we have decided to believe in Jesus Christ as our only and sufficient Savior. We believe that if we seek first the Kingdom of God and the righteousness of it, everything else will come in addition. (Matthew 6:33) Let us try together to grow in Faith, grow in the knowledge of God and ask for Wisdom from above every day, to make wise decisions. God's Grace is sufficient... Jesus Christ works on our behalf. What advice do you give to young people? The best thing a young person can do is to seek God in life's decisions. He knows our plans and our desires, and he also wants the best for us. Especially in this season of life, God wants to provide us with help and direction. As his word says, “Trust with all your heart in the Lord and not in your own intelligence. Keep the Lord in mind in everything you do, and he

will lead you on the right path. (Proverbs 3:5-6). When we rely on our limited intelligence, we miss out on God's good plans for our lives. He wants to impact people through us, but we must let ourselves be guided. What advice do you send to the members of Center Point Hilliard Church, to be better disciples of Christ, and their commitment to the Church and service in the Lord's Church? It is wonderful to know that you belong to a community of Faith and that we are part of the body of Christ, which is The Church. God is pleased when we live together and in harmony, there the Lord sends blessing and eternal life, just as Psalm 133 says. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to be called disciples of Christ and at the same time it is an act of courage, because you know that you will be transformed from your old way of thinking and conformed to the image of Christ, with a heart and mind renewed by his word. The word of God is truth and a disciple is called to obey it above any feelings, believing that obedience brings Blessing and makes us grow in our relationship with Him. God loved us first, restored us and has given us the privilege to begin a new life in Christ. God is a good Father and longs to have communion with his children. As followers of Jesus, we have been forgiven and sanctified. And because God is Holy and we are made in his image, we are also called to live like Him. Peter 1:15-16 But just as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in everything you do; for it is written: “Be holy, for I am Holy.” Let us be grateful for his great Mercy. Let us keep in mind, the first Love shown on the Cross, where Christ won our Salvation, paid for our sins and today we can have Peace in him. Maintaining our first love will help us reciprocate with acts of Service and Love for its saving work, service to others and commitment to the Church. We are called to have a servant's heart with a living Faith manifested in good works. True greatness begins with humility. The Bible tells us that to be great we must serve others. And humility is the center of a servant's heart. We must grow so that the character of Christ can grow in us. When we receive Christ, his Holy Spirit comes to dwell in our hearts and invites us to be light and salt of the earth. Many people need to know the love of the Father and the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Many need Peace and restoration. Now is the time to Love like God Loves and be different – To share the great news about Jesus! Mark 16:15 Jesus said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

Se acerca un mes muy bonito para la mayoría de dialogo entre dos de ellos, el más joven le las personas; diciembre, días de encuentros, preguntó al otro que si Juan Torres era su compar r juntos, momento de celebración y para hermano; la respuesta me impactó ya que de un número importante son días de fes vidades forma serena pero firme le respondió que Juan religiosas.Sabemos con la adultez que hay una ciertamente era su pariente, su hermano de marcada diferencia entre los conceptos de amigo, simple conjunción, más no era familia. Es evidente compañero y conocido, ello es muy relevante en que ese pasaje influyó en mí inves gación y por la vida, estar ubicado ante las relaciones consiguiente en estas líneas.Apreciados lectores, interpersonales. Ahora bien, cuando se trata de l a f a m i l i a c o m p o r t a u n s i n n ú m e r o d e parientes y familiares, la línea divisoria se sen mientos y vivencias, es una edificación que desdibuja, se complica, por ello pretendemos ene profundas fundaciones, donde el respeto, la a d e nt ra r n o s e n e s o s ca m i n o s u n ta nto confianza y al menos el cariño están presentes en complejos.Debemos decir que el ser parientes, todo momento. Si estamos claros con esa para el que aquí escribe, es un vínculo circunstancia, tendremos la posibilidad de hacer indubitable, incues onable cien ficamente, es nuestra propia escalera, la mía es así: familia, un lazo mayoritariamente consanguíneo sin amigos, compañeros, parientes y conocidos; ello descartar el de afinidad… debo señalar como me permite estar enfocado y procurar no elemento esclarecedor que un familiar siempre esperarme de las personas algo que no le será pariente, más no necesariamente un corresponde, ni ellos de mí, ya que a veces pariente será familia.Las relaciones emocionales deseamos que un amigo se comporte como posi vas construyen un tejido de cercanía, apoyo familia o un conocido como un amigo y eso es y solidaridad para los capítulos buenos y los no tan desastroso por inmaduro.En estas fechas que se plácidos de la vida, siendo ello una siembra que en avecinan, deseo que reine lo bonito, lo cual no es c a s o d e l o s p a r i e n t e s c o n s t r u y e l a otra cosa que dar y recibir momentos alegres, de familiaridad.Estos asuntos son importantes, no reflexión y unión. Que sean días llenos de gestos son temas baladíes, al contario, pueden ayudar a amables que procuren sonrisas y abrazos, la madurez. Hace algunos años, presencié en una convencidos en que vendrán siempre empos reunión de compañeros cuando se inició un mejores.

As we become adults, we know that there is a marked difference between the concepts of friend, companion and acquaintance, this is very relevant in life, to be situated with respect to interpersonal rela onships. Now, when it comes to rela ves and family, the dividing line is blurred, it becomes complicated, which is why we intend to delve into those somewhat complex paths. We must say that being rela ves, for those who write here, is an indubitable, unques onable b o n d . S c i e n fi c a l l y, i t i s a m o s t l y consanguineous bond without discarding that of affinity... I must point out as a clarifying element that a family member will always be a rela ve, but a rela ve will not necessarily be family. Posi ve emo onal rela onships build a fabric of closeness, support and solidarity for the good moments and the not so placid ones in life, this being a sowing that in the case of rela ves builds familiarity. These issues are important, they are not trivial topics, on the contrary, they can help to achieve maturity. A few years ago, I witnessed a mee ng of

colleagues, when a dialogue began between two of them, the younger one asked the other if Juan Torres was his brother; the answer shocked me since in a calm but firm manner he responded that Juan was certainly his rela ve, his brother by simple conjunc on, but he was not family. It is evident that this passage influenced my research and therefore these lines. Dear readers, the family involves countless feelings and experiences, it is a building that has deep founda ons, where respect, trust and at least affec on are present. at all mes. If we are clear about that circumstance, we will have the possibility of making our own ladder, mine is like this: family, friends, colleagues, rela ves and acquaintances; this allows me to be focused and try not to expect something from people that does not correspond to them, nor from they to me; since some mes we want a friend to behave like family or an acquaintance like a friend and that is disastrous because it is immature. In these upcoming dates, I wish that beauty reigns, which is nothing other than giving and receiving happy moments, reflec on and union. May they be days full of kind gestures that bring smiles and hugs, convinced that be er mes will always come.

A diario, con el pasar del tiempo, poco a poco y paso a paso, compartir tras compartir, paciente tras paciente, la vida y la muerte, hemos ido comprendiendo que ciertamente todos, absolutamente todos, somos vulnerables. Cualquier cosa nos puede pasar desde lo más sencillo, hasta lo menos esperado, incluyendo una muerte abrupta. Nos queda entonces investigar y descubrir qué nos quiere demostrar o enseñar nuestro Creador con esa condición, si se quiere virtud, que todos tenemos de cambiar el estado físico, psíquico, mental y espiritual, de un momento a otro. Algunos aprenden la lección y de manera satisfactoria llegan a conseguir la explicación del por qué les llegó ese cambio. Casi siempre tiene que ver, con un descubrir de grandes errores que cometierion, errores de fundamento o sin fundamento. A veces piensan, que pidiendo perdón o disculpas basta para borrar todas las incoherencias cometidas, muchas de ellas que probablemente hicieron daño a muchas sociedades o familias si tenemos alguna posicion de poder, pero no basta con reconocer y pedir perdón, debemos aprender la lección y de corazón, mostrarnos ante Dios desnudos, con un sentimiento total, un pensamiento

Vive feliz, tratemos de ponerle un punto de alegría a todo lo que hagamos, luz y claridad nos acompañarán. Sin miedo descubre el milagroso y poderoso Ser que vive en ti. Seamos responsables en mayor o menor grado de cada cosa que pasa en nuestro mundo, somos parte de un todo. Aprendiz: debemos siempre ser aprendices en la vida con humildad y atención aprendamos algo nuevo todos los días. Solidaridad: debemos ofrecer incondicionalmente el apoyo al prójimo, sobretodo, a quien nos lo solicite, una mirada o una palabra, un silencio, un abrazo y hasta una simple sonrisa...pueden sanar...amando...gracias a la Vida...

Some teacher we met more than 20 years ago surprised us when he said in public: "My vulnerability is my strength", initially we did not understand it, nor what he wanted to show us with that phrase. Every day, with the passage of time, little by little and step by step, sharing after sharing, patient after patient, life and death, we have been understanding that certainly all of us, absolutely all of us, are vulnerable. Anything can happen to us, from the simplest to the least expected, including an abrupt death. We are then left to investigate and discover what our Creator wants to show or teach us with that condition, if you want virtue, that we all have to change the physical, psychological, mental and spiritual state, from one moment to the next. Some learn the lesson and satisfactorily manage to obtain the explanation of why that change came to them. It almost always has to do with the discovery of major errors that they committed, fundamental or unfounded errors. Sometimes they think that asking for forgiveness or apologies is enough to erase all the inconsistencies committed, many of them that probably hurt many people or families from some position of power; but it is not enough to recognize and ask for forgiveness. We must learn the lesson and from the heart, to show ourselves before God, naked, with a total feeling, a global thought and an action that points

to these three things and towards the same destiny, trying to maintain an existential coherence between what we feel, think and do. Hence, many discover that the reason for their deforming or disabling Arthritis was that they only knew how to live giving pity and playing the role of victims. Others learn about cancer, vitiligo, diabetes and hypertension, including neurosis and schizophrenia. All those who, from the heart understood the lesson of their vulnerability, have as a common denominator, not so much repentance or recognition of guilt or their request for forgiveness, but a radical change of attitude and behavior towards life, emerging from within them that Divine and Sacred Human Being that we all have, made in the likeness of the Creator. Let us lives happily, let's try to add a touch of joy to everything we do, light and clarity will accompany us. Without fear let us discover the miraculous and powerful being that lives in us. Whether we are responsible to a greater or lesser degree for everything that happens in our world, we are part of a whole. In these 4 years we have experienced difficult moments, like everyone else; but always with enthusiasm and maintaining our objec ve of presen ng an entertaining newspaper, without sensa onalism, faithful to our postulate: “The Truth in Your Hands”; presen ng a pla orm that helps unite all the communi es that make life in this great city; that we have achieved thanks to the efforts and work of a group of professionals, and above all thanks to the effort and permanent work of our beloved and reless Editor Jorge Luis Gaviria Linares, who contribute with their ar cles, informa on, honest opinions and advice to achieve a fuller and sa sfactory life; promo ng the fundamental values of a society such as honesty, work, believing in family and being suppor ve of the community. Personally, I feel great sa sfac on in being able to address my contemporaries, the “Senior” ci zens, who are not always appreciated by a society very focused on immediate and material success. And looking to the future: Christmas is almost here, that me of year that helps us not only reflect on our spiritual values but also achieve greater family unity and reunion with friends and other family members that we do not always see as o en as we would like. Christmas should

not only serve to take stock of what we have experienced but also to think about the future and how we can be more useful to ourselves, but also to all those we love. En esto 4 años hemos vivido momentos di ciles, como todos; pero siempre con entusiasmo y manteniendo nuestro obje vo de presentar un periódico ameno, sin sensacionalismos ﬁeles a nuestro postulado: “La Verdad en Sus Manos”; presentando una plataforma que ayude a la unión entre todas la comunidades que hacen vida en esta gran ciudad; que logramos con el esfuerzo de un grupo de profesionales, y sobre todo gracias al

Doce, multiplicado por cuatro, suma cuarenta y ocho, y ese es el número de oportunidades en las que nos hemos encontrado ustedes amigos y consecuentes lectores y todo el equipo que detrás de estas páginas hace un esfuerzo por llegarles y mantenernos en el tiempo. Cuarenta y ocho ediciones trabajadas arduamente y mejorando con cada una de ellas para entregarles entretenimiento e información, curiosidades, temas jurídicos, un poco de Dios de la mano de nuestro reverendo y también articulista David Rodríguez, en fin, constancia para estar con todos. Habiendo tenido que reducir el volumen de nuestro periódico durante la pandemia del Covid-19 logramos mantenerlo en circulación y ahora después de terminada la eventualidad, de nuevo hemos crecido en volumen para el agrado de todos. También nuestros anunciantes son parte de estos cuatro años o cuarenta y ocho meses de circulación, sin ellos no podríamos sustentar a este periódico. Hoy la Iglesia Universal celebra 800 años del primer Belén, elaborado por San Francisco de Asís, en la ciudad de Greccio, en 1223, y hasta la fecha se ha ido diseñando de diferentes formas y mantenido por siglos para meditar el Amor de Dios a la humanidad, pues siendo El más grande se hizo hombre para unirse a la humanidad. Ha querido el Patriarca de Roma Su Santidad Francisco, invitar a prepararnos espiritualmente para vivir la Navidad, contemplando en el pesebre el Evangelio vivo del Nacimiento de Jesús. Es
