Waste Reduction 101 Educational Workshop Wednesday 2/22 Kappa Kappa Gamma


Background • Greening the Greeks received $15,345 from TGIF to expand waste reduction efforts • Includes: recycling, compost, re‐use & education • Progress to date – $13,823 spent – 29 chapters (13 sororities, 16 frats) – 350+ bins purchased – 1000+ signs purchased

• Use/buy items that have less packaging


Reuse! • Clothing free piles • Reusable shopping bags, Tupperware, water bottles, and coffee mugs

• Buy decorations that last and can be reused


Recycle! • Paper and cardboard • Plastics 1 & 2, metal, and glass
