By: Audwin Lindsay, PhD, PHR President, FASHRM Fayetteville Area Society for Human Resource Management (FASHRM) is a professional organization consisting of human resource professionals from a variety of industries. Our priorities are: Professional development of our members, community involvement, and assisting deserving student with achieving educational goals through scholarships. Our organization awards deserving students with a scholarship that our organization presents every year. On June 9, 2012, FASHRM and the Student SHRM Chapter of University of North Carolina Pembroke (UNCP) collaborated to host our 3rd Annual FASHRM Scholarship Motorcycle Fun Run. FASHRM began hosting our motorcycle ride in 2010 to raise funds to support our scholarship program. This year was no different for our organization. The scholarship award amount is $500 to Toni Barreto-Mikall. Each year we have been grateful enough to have a special guest to ride with us (Batman). Hopefully, you are able to join us next year. We usually host our ride in early June. Watch The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine Cruisin’ Calendar for the date. We look forward to seeing there.
