TABA HOME & GARDEN SHOW

The Temple Area Builders Association’s 48th Annual Home and Garden Show begins this weekend to give Central Texans a look at a wide variety of new products and innovations in homebuilding, remodeling, and gardening.

The event will take place at the Cadence Bank Center on the last weekend in February with the show hours listed below. Tickets can be purchased at the door - $7 for adults and children 5 and under are FREE!

Friday, Feb. 23rd – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 24th – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 25th – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The TABA Home and Garden show is the association’s largest event, showcasing thousands of square feet of the latest products and services. The show provides a fun environment where

attendees can network with builders, remodeling specialists, pool contractors, landscape architects and hundreds of craftsmen and suppliers. Exhibitors will showcase appliances, cabinetry, HVAC products, windows, pools, home accents and more.

Building on Saturday and Sunday, will feature different exhibitors offering engaging activities that challenge children and parents intellectually and creatively. The Bell County Master Gardeners will once again present free educational seminars on gardening, plant propagation, conservation and landscaping – please see their schedule on page 13. And last but certainly not least, TABA has paired up with SPJST to bring back the ever so popular Car Show located in the Exposition Building during show hours.

Bell County Master Gardeners (BCMGA) Present Free Seminars at the 2024 Home & Garden Show

The Bell County Master Gardeners will again be a team player with the Temple Area Builders Association at the 2024 Home & Garden Show. BCMGA members will host an educational booth and present a series of free educational seminars on Saturday, February 24th at the Cadence Bank Center during the 2024 TABA Home and Garden Show.

Visitors are encouraged to stop by the Master Gardener’s booth at any time during the show if they have gardening questions or need assistance in solving gardening problems. In addition to the free seminars, hands on sessions will be highlighted. Potted succulents will be for sale.

The free seminars will be held in Building C. The topics and time of each seminar are listed below. The speakers are trained members/ specialists of the BCMGA Speakers Bureau.

Masters Gardeners are again sponsoring a Kids Zone booth during the Home and Garden Show. Master Gardeners are committed to helping young people become good gardeners and good citizens so they can make a positive contribution to their community, school and family.

Master Gardeners provide Outreach and Community Educational seminars throughout the year for Bell County clubs, schools, and organizations. Speakers provide information on Herbs, Propagation of Plants, Butterfly Gardening, Poisonous Plants, Composting, Drip Irrigation, Earth Landscaping, Vegetable Gardening, Fruit Production, Container Gardening, Fire Ant/Insect management, Pest Management, Invasive Plants, Making Your Own Rain Barrel, Native Plants, Oak Wilt/Tree Diseases, Tree & Shrub Pruning, Raised Bed Gardening, Soil Preparation, and Superstar Plants. The Temple Area Builders Association is excited to announce its collaboration with SPJST for the 21st annual Home and Garden Car Show! The 2024 SPJST Car Show welcomes vehicles of all makes, models, and years. The public will be asked to vote for their favorite cars in special “People’s Choice” awards, while judges will select the Top 20 vehicles, to be announced during the awards presentations at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 25. Adding to the festivities, a musical trio featuring Jerry Haisler, Brandi Clarke, and Billy Pitts will entertain the crowd starting at 12:30 p.m. prior to the awards presentation on Sunday. As customary, the event will showcase stunning cars from the Temple, Belton, Killeen, and surrounding Central Texas areas – recognized as a hub for classic cars.
