TABA HOME & GARDEN SHOW
The Temple Area Builders Association’s 47th Annual Home and Garden Show begins this weekend to give Central Texans a look at a wide variety of new products and innovations in homebuilding and remodeling. The event will take place at the Bell County Expo Center on the last weekend in February with the show hours listed below. Tickets can be purchased at the door - $7 for adults and children 5 and under are FREE!
Friday, Feb. 24th – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 25th – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 26th – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The TABA Home and Garden show is the association’s largest event, showcasing thousands of square feet of the latest products and services. The show provides a fun environment where at-
tendees can network with builders, remodeling specialists, pool contractors, landscape architects and hundreds of craftsmen and suppliers. Exhibitors will showcase appliances, cabinetry, HVAC products, windows, pools, home accents and more.
Josh Welch, 2023 President of the Temple Area Builders Association, noted “This is the 47th year that the Temple Area Homebuilders has created the largest Home and Garden show between Austin and Dallas. The popular Kids Zone, located in the Exposition Building on Saturday and Sunday, will feature different exhibitors offering engaging activities that challenge children and parents intellectually and creatively. The Bell County Master Gardeners will once again present free educational seminars on gardening, plant propagation, conservation and landscaping – please see their schedule on page 13. And last but certainly not least, TABA has paired up with SPJST to bring back the ever so popular Car Show located in the Exposition Building during show hours.

Bell County Master Gardeners (BCMGA) host free seminars at the 2023 Home & Garden Show
The Bell County Master Gardeners will again be a team player with the Temple Area Builders Association. BCMGA members will host an educational booth and present a series of free educational seminars on Saturday February 25th at the Bell County Expo Center during the 2023 TABA Home and Garden Show.
Visitors are encouraged to stop by the Master Gardener’s booth at any time during the show if they have gardening questions or need assistance in solving gardening problems. In addition to the free seminars, propagating techniques will be highlighted.
The free seminars will be held in Building C. The topics and time of each seminar are listed below. The speakers are trained members/ specialists of the BCMGA Speakers Bureau.

Community Educational seminars throughout the year for Bell County clubs, schools, and organizations. Speakers provide information on Herbs, Propagation of Plants, Butterfly Gardening, Poisonous Plants, Composting, Drip Irrigation, Earth Landscaping, Vegetable Gardening, Fruit Production, Container Gardening, Fire Ant/Insect management, Pest Management, Invasive Plants, Making Your Own Rain Barrel, Native Plants, Oak Wilt/Tree Diseases, Tree & Shrub Pruning, Raised Bed Gardening, Soil Preparation, and Superstar Plants. The magazine will feature ParadeTM homes built by local homebuilders. Each home listed will have an exterior photo, home description, and floor plan. A map will show the location of each home along with the homebuilder’s name and the home address for easy navigating.
Included in the magazine are advertisements from builders, realtors, a variety of service providers, retailers and area craftsmen showcasing their products.
The 2023 Parade of HomesTM will provide information regarding ParadeTM dates, times, ticket pricing and purchasing locations.

The Temple Area Builders Association is thrilled to be partnering with SPJST to bring you the 20th annual Home and Garden Car Show! The 2023 SPJST Car Show is open to all makes, models and years of vehicles. The public will be asked to vote for their favorite cars for several special “People’s Choice” awards, and judges will select the Top 20 vehicles to be announced at the awards presentations at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 26. Prior to the awards presentation on Sunday, the musical trio of Jerry Haisler, Brandi Clarke, and Billy Pitts will entertain beginning at 12:30 p.m.
As always, the show will bring in beautiful cars
from the Temple, Belton, Killeen, and surrounding Central Texas areas – which is host to more classic cars than any other part of the state. It’s never too late to enter your car – if you have a car worth showing off, please call Melanie at SPJST at 254-534-0807 or email melaniez@spjst.com.
