SPJST

The Temple Area Builders Association is thrilled to be partnering with SPJST to bring you the 20th annual Home and Garden Car Show! The 2023 SPJST Car Show is open to all makes, models and years of vehicles. The public will be asked to vote for their favorite cars for several special “People’s Choice” awards, and judges will select the Top 20 vehicles to be announced at the awards presentations at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 26. Prior to the awards presentation on Sunday, the musical trio of Jerry Haisler, Brandi Clarke, and Billy Pitts will entertain beginning at 12:30 p.m.

As always, the show will bring in beautiful cars from the Temple, Belton, Killeen, and surrounding Central Texas areas – which is host to more classic cars than any other part of the state. It’s never too late to enter your car – if you have a car worth showing off, please call Melanie at SPJST at 254-534-0807 or email melaniez@spjst.com.

Space is limited, so please let us know if you’d like to join the show. All cars are located inside the Exposition Building on the west side of the Expo Center. Move-in time is Friday at 1 p.m.

SPJST’s mission is “Insuring and Enriching Lives.” SPJST’s vision is to provide financial security for its members; build a wholesome family environment; and encourage cherished Czech traditions.

SPJST is a fraternal life insurance organization that is celebrating its 126th year of operations in 2023. SPJST was founded in the spirit of “doing good for each other” by fearless and peaceloving pioneers of Czech descent in La Grange, Texas. With assets of more than $247 million, SPJST provides financial security for its members through high-quality life insurance products and value-added financial benefits, including annuities and IRAs.

SPJST promotes a wholesome family environment for its members and for the communities it serves. This is achieved through local lodge and youth activities, charitable initiatives within the community and statewide programs, including an outstanding scholarship program, youth achievement activities, and summer camping experience. Annually, SPJST members devote more than 50,000 service hours to their communities and contribute more than $250,000 to deserving community organizations.

Since 1897, SPJST members have worked diligently to establish SPJST’s reputation as a proactive, nonsectarian fraternal organization. Numerous SPJST projects and members have been recognized statewide by the Fraternal Alliance of Texas and nationwide by the American Fraternal Alliance. Currently, there are approximately 38,000 SPJST members in 102 lodges in Texas. They are taking the best that SPJST has to offer – a tradition of helping people to care of their families – and are extending these values to their communities.
