The average number of wins that Christian has recorded during his coaching career. Christian has recorded 152 victories as a head coach, and during his 17-year career, he has been a part of 330 triumphs (an average of 19.4 victories per season).
Christian has recorded 20 or more victories in six of seven seasons during his head coaching career. Christian had the third-longest streak of 20 or more victories for a first-year head coach - behind Mark Few (Gonzaga) and Thad Matta (Butler, Xavier and Ohio State).
During his career, Christian has produced numerous professional players, but has also coached two NFL Pro Bowl players in Antonio Gates (San Diego Chargers | Tight End; played at Kent State) and London Fletcher (Buffalo Bills | Linebacker; played at St. Francis).
Christian is the all-time leader in Mid-American Conference history with a .704 career winning percentage in six seasons at Kent State. Christian is ranked second at Kent State in all-time victories and posted a career mark of 138-58 for the Golden Flashes.
