On July 1, 2006, TCU reached a seven-year agreement with IMG Sports - the national leader in collegiate sports marketing - that provides the company with primary multimedia rights to TCU Athletics. Due to the success of the partnership, the agreement was extended to 2018. With the partnership, IMG Sports receives the rights to all sales and marketing opportunities associated with the Frogs, including the TCU radio network for all sports, advertising, promotions and signage in athletic facilities.

FROGS ON RADIO

Each 2012-13 TCU men’s basketball contest will be broadcast live on the radio in the Metroplex on either 570 AM KLIF (Big 12 games) or 1460 AM KCLE (non-conference), as well as 88.7 FM KTCU (all games). Veteran play-by-play man Brian Estridge will return to the headset for his 14th season as the “Voice of the Horned Frogs.” Estridge will be joined by 23rd-year color commentator John Denton. FROGS ON TELEVISION ESPN

The Big 12 Conference announced in Fall 2012 it reached an agreement with ESPN that extends and expands its partnership with the media enterprise for men’s basketball. As part of the agreement, ESPN continues as the primary rights holder of Big 12 men’s basketball, including the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship. Through the agreement, Big 12 games will be made available on the ESPN family of networks that include ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN3. com. The new 13-year deal with ESPN begins with the upcoming 2012-13 season and runs through 2024-25, replacing the previous eight-year agreement that was scheduled to run through 2015-16. Other select televised games, including those in TCU’s third-tier package, will also be available nationally on ESPN Full Court, the network’s outermarket pay subscription service.

CBS

Through its parternship with ESPN, select Big 12 games are provided to CBS for air on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the season. This year, at least five Big 12 games will be televised on CBS.

TCU BASKETBALL RADIO PERSONALITIES BRIAN ESTRIDGE - Play-By-Play

Brian Estridge begins his 14th season as the “Voice of the Horned Frogs” and TCU’s Director of Broadcasting. In addition to his insightful and entertaining play-by-play radio duties for TCU, Estridge has provided play-by-play duties for numerious ESPNU and CBS/Westwood One radio productions and serves as the cohost of the WBAP Morning News. A native of Kershaw, S.C., Estridge began his radio career at the age of 14 where he made stops in South Carolina, North Carolina and Ohio providing play-by-play coverage for Miami (OH) University as well as Appalachian State University. The Voice of the Frogs has been honored by both the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters and the Press Club of Dallas as the best collegiate play-by-play announcer in the state. He was one of three nominees in 1996 for the North Carolina Sportscaster of the Year. A graduate of Appalachian State, Estridge and his wife, Rebecca, reside in Colleyville with their two children, Gaines and Ellie.

BIG 12 NETWORK

For the fifth straight season, regionally syndicated Big 12 games wil be televised on the Big 12 Network as part of the conference’s agreement with ESPN Regional Television. The games, previously branded as ESPN Plus, are broadcast throughout the conference’s footprint and beyond. Many Big 12 Network games will also be available as part of ESPN Full Court, the pay subscription college basketball outer-market service, and ESPN3, the online service for ESPN. In addition, all contests plus condensed highlights will be available 72 hours after completion via Big12Sports.com and the Big 12’s mobile applications. In the Fort Worth-Dallas market, Big 12 Network games are offered in full HD on TXA-21.

JOHN DENTON - Analyst

John Denton begins his 23rd season as the color analyst for the TCU/ISP Sports Network. A former standout for the Frog football team, Denton went from walk-on to a four-year lettermen as a kicker and punter for the Frogs from 1981-84 where he completed his career at the 1984 Bluebonnet Bowl. Denton has drawn myriad broadcast assignments during his radio career with CBS/Westwood One in their coverage of the NCAA Basketball Tournament, NFL Monday Night Football, NFL Playoffs as well as Major League Baseball’s Game of the Week. In May of 2007, Denton was recognized by the All-American Football Foundation with its prestigious Lindsey Nelson Outstanding Broadcaster Award for excellence in broadcasting and dedication to the college football. A graduate of TCU and the Director of Major Gifts for the TCU Frog Club, Denton and his wife, Linda, live in Southlake with their two daughters, Erin and Meredith.

FOX SPORTS SOUTHWEST

TCU and FOX Sports announced in Fall 2012 a new multi-year agreement to televise select Horned Frogs Athletics events on FOX Sports Southwest and other FOX Sports regional and national networks. The agreement features a comprehensive schedule of TCU athletics events to be televised annually, including all available men’s basketball games, one football game and mutually agreed upon Olympic sports, including women’s basketball, baseball, soccer and volleyball contests. Telecasts of TCU basketball games will be produced by students in the sports broadcasting curriculum of TCU’s Department of Film, Television and Digital Media in collaboration with FOX Sports. FOX Sports Southwest, which reaches approximately nine million homes, will be the flagship network for TCU Athletics with distribution throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. Select TCU events will be televised on other FOX Sports regional and national networks and digital platforms.
