Serving You Where You Live Tri-County Technical College’s Anderson Campus is committed to bringing our programs and services closer to you. Since 2007, the campus has served as Anderson’s community college, delivering innovative educational resources and life-long learning opportunities for our local residents. We are also proud to be an integral partner in economic development and workforce readiness, helping to build a strong economy and a healthy, growing community. Conveniently located on Michelin Boulevard, the campus provides a wide variety of student services and programs to meet the needs of a diverse population – all easily accessible through public bus service (free to enrolled students) and plenty of commuter parking.
At the Anderson Campus, we offer a wide variety of general education courses, as well as program-specific courses in administrative office technology, business, computer technology, management, marketing and more. Full programs are available in several fields of study, including the ones featured here.
Criminal Justice Technology Our Criminal Justice program gives students the knowledge and skills to work within the criminal justice system, with particular focus on practical, theoretical and technical applications of law enforcement. The curriculum covers an overview of courts and corrections services, as well as the disciplines of psychology, sociology and political science. Electives cover subjects ranging from police patrol and juvenile delinquency to fingerprint science and forensic photography. Our Anderson Campus also offers a certificate in Crime Scene Investigations.
Culinary Arts – NEW! This brand-new program will prepare students for a variety of food service and hospitality career options including cooks, catering services, restaurant management and more. Through hands-on training in our state-of-theart commercial culinary lab, students learn fundamental principles of the food service industry such as purchasing, preparation, cooking and serving. This certificate is also foundational to further training in Culinary Arts at other institutions.
Early Childhood Development Designed for students who want to pursue an education in the field of early childhood, as well as to formalize prior experiences with young children, the Early Childhood Development Associate Degree, Diploma and Certificate programs are fully available at the Anderson Campus. These programs prepare students to promote positive development and learning opportunities for young children. You’ll learn about the growth and development of young children, as well as about health, safety and nutrition of little ones. Specific subject area concepts, including language arts, science and math are covered, as are the skills needed for working with exceptional children.
University Transfer At Tri-County Technical College’s Anderson Campus, our Arts & Sciences Division offers a way to start your postsecondary education close to home with confidence, knowing you’ll be saving money, giving yourself time to make important decisions, earning a top-notch credential and getting the full college experience – all before you transfer to a four-year college or university for a bachelor’s or beyond. The Associate in Arts Degree is designed for students who plan careers in business, education, journalism, psychology or any other liberal arts field. The Associate in Science Degree is geared toward students who plan careers in computer science, engineering, medicine, agriculture, or another science-related area. General Studies and University Studies certificates are also available.
Connecting Our Communities
Corporate and Community Education Our Corporate and Community Education (CCE) division offers a variety of occupational programs, including: • Commercial Truck Driving • Culinary Arts • Customized Training for Business and Industry • Handgun Safety and Proficiency • Office Skills • Small Business Workshops Through the CCE Division, the Anderson Campus is also home to job readiness training, customized training for business and industry, as well as just-for-fun classes like motorcycle safety training. Whether you want to start a career, advance in your current career, learn new skills or complete job related certifications, you’ll find what you need at this new facility. QuickJobs programs last anywhere from a few days to six months and support a strong, viable workforce by giving individuals the skills to get back into the job market or advance in their current job. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2012, our new QuickJobs Center will be located directly across Michelin Boulevard from our current academic building, and commercial driver training area next to the driver training pad.
The Anderson Campus is a vibrant, engaging community where students, faculty, staff and area friends come together to learn from each other and build strong relationships. Together, we are making Anderson a better place to live, learn and work. A wide array of student activities and community events serve to strengthen the student life experience and weave the campus into the fabric of our area’s history, culture and persona. Annual signature community events include a 5K Road Race in the spring and a Culinary Arts Wine Tasting in the fall. Regular student life events connect our students with services and programs that enhance their success, provide volunteer and leadership opportunities and cultivate meaningful relationships with faculty, staff and other students. Cashier’s Office Information on payments and refunds is available Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-1 p.m and 2-5 p.m., and on Friday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Call 260-6701 for details.
Student IDs and Parking Permits All students must have a valid Student ID and parking permit, both of which are available from the Anderson Campus Safety Office.
College Café The Anderson Campus College Café operates from the main lobby, Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. You’ll find delicious hot food and snack items, affordable prices and a comfortable atmosphere in which to enjoy it all. Students can even use financial aid to purchase a meal plan if they sign up at the start of the semester. The Student Lounge, located adjacent to the lobby, is a great place to gather with friends, take study breaks or just relax between classes.

Provides resources to help students with research and assignments on campus or online. A picture ID (TCTC ID preferred) is required to check out materials. Hours vary by semester and are posted on campus. You may also call 260-6700 or 646-1750.
Computer Lab … is openMonday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. During times when no curriculum classes are held, such as during semester break and between semesters, the Computer Lab will be closed.

Learning Lab Free tutoring is available for students who need assistance in mathematics or science. The service is for all students, including those enrolled in online classes or classes that meet at other locations. Appointment recommended.
