What we know: Nationally, the Arts and Cultural activities industry generated
$135.2 billion dollars of economic activity and supports 4.1 million full-time jobs, producing 22.3 billion dollars in revenue to local, state, and federal governments each year.24 A vibrant arts and cultural community increases the quality of life and economic value of the city’s living and working environment. Further, arts and cultural activities provide diverse opportunities for individuals to experience and participate in the arts, promote inclusion, and often foster civic engagement. The Community Foundation is committed to supporting arts and cultural events and activities and believes that arts are essential to a thriving and vibrant community and its residents.
