Stephanie Wade has been working her way up through the Hospitality & Tourism Industry since she was 12 years old. Having taken on a variety of roles both in the UK and abroad she has a vast understanding of what it takes to make it in our industry. Stephanie has a huge passion for helping the next generation get in to work in hospitality, and at 29 Stephanie’s hard work paid off as she won an Acorn Award and became The Springboard Charities youngest Scotland Director in the same year. Stephanie now oversees the Tennent’s Training Academy and the new Tennent’s Visitor Centre. Stephanie remains very heavily involved in charitable work for Scotland’s young people and is actively encouraging the industry to join in the new or existing successful projects that raise the profile of the industry to young people. Stephanie’s next goal is to create a chef school, accessible to all unemployed people, and a pipeline of talented new chefs from a wide variety of backgrounds, including homelessness and young offenders, and help them gain stable and rewarding careers in Scotland’s top kitchens.
Joe Queen is one of Scotland’s greatest food ambassadors. The former President of the Federation of Chefs Scotland, he originally trained at Turnberry, was also Executive Chef at Craigendarroch on Royal Deeside and spent many years working with Macdonald Hotels. Joe has garnered many accolades for numerous respected institutions in his career, from Thistle Awards to AA Rosettes, and his expertise has him in great demand. Joe judges for the World Association of Chefs Societies, and more recently was on the culinary committee for the Scottish Culinary Championships at ScotHot . He works tirelessly with young chefs in the industry and is a great ambassador for competitions such as the Springboard Future Chef. Joe’s work with young people in the industry means that he has been the recipient of many awards. In 2009 Joe was the recipient of Springboard UK’s esteemed Chris Beaumont Award and in March 2011 his contribution to the industry was recognised when he received the HIT Scotland Life time achievement award. Now Joe is resident chef at Tennent’s Training Academy and is on hand to look after you and your colleagues…and perhaps even host a team-bonding cookery class!

TAKE A T BREAK The Tennent’s family began brewing at the site back in 1556 and the brewery has been an important part of the Glasgow landscape ever since. Tours of Wellpark Brewery entice visitors from as far afield as Canada, USA and Australia. The guided tour is a 90 minute journey through 500 years of history; an opportunity to learning about the Tennent family, to see how every pint is brewed, and a chance to relive some of Tennent’s iconic advertising. It’s also a chance to learn about the world famous Lager Lovelies and gain some exclusive insight to the production site of Europe’s highest multi-level brewery. With a whopping £1.5m investment in the Tennent’s Visitor Centre, we have now become one of the top tourist destinations in Glasgow! Following completion of the brewery renovations, local street artist SMUG was commissioned to create unique works of art on the exterior and The Tennent’s Tours were soon awarded The Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor. The certificate is presented to organisations who have received outstanding reviews on their site and only the top 10% of businesses receive the prestigious award…we can’t wait to see what you think!
