Vice President-Brooke Bogenn

My name is Michael Zimmerman and I am this year's club president. I am a Biology major with a Biomedical emphasis and I am extremely excited to be serving with everyone this year. Circle K is so important to me because it always brightens my day to help people in need. I love Kiwanis because they help run so many large-scale service events such as the Eliminate Project that affects the entire world. My favorite project I have done with Circle K is the Ronald McDonald house because it felt so meaningful to make food for people in need that are going through a rough time. My favorite event overall however was DCON because it was amazing to meet people from different clubs and to learn about Kiwanis as a whole. Circle K means so much to me and I can't wait to help make our chapter even better next year.

I am a junior at the University of Arizona, studying nursing and double minoring in public health and sign language. I enjoy traveling around the world and always up for an adventure, as long as it includes Taco Bell and cats.

A Service Story By Aubrey Renaker My favorite Circle K International event that I have participated in is Trick or Treat for UNICEF. This was actually my fourth year participating in this event and over the years it has become very special to me. My favorite thing about Trick or Treat for UNICEF is that the money goes to the Eliminate Project. I first learned about the Eliminate Project as a Key Clubber at International Convention in 2011; ever since then, it has been a cause very close to my heart. It was so great to participate in Trick or Treat for UNICEF at CKI this year! I didn’t go “trick or treating” in a neighborhood, but I did go around my college dorm asking my friends and neighbors to donate! Do you have a story about your favorite service event in CKI? Please email it to syaeger2@email.arizona.edu, and it may be in the next issue of the newsletter!
