“I now have a job in Stockholm, as a barber!” Carl Storey Level 2 NVQ in Barbering I started the NVQ level 2 Barbering course in September, and travel to Hastings one-day a week from Hove. The course is really great and it’s definitely worth the travel. I was a musician for 15 years, playing in a band and teaching, but wanted to change career. I’ve always liked being practical and creative and thought why not try barbering. The course and tutor are both brilliant. I get so much out of it, and I’m constantly being pushed just outside my comfort zone. Considering I’d never picked up a pair of scissors before, in just the second week Chris had me cutting hair!
