ported by appropriate technology. The economy-time-work relationship needs to be redefined. Interviewees think in terms of a relationship between work time, free time and remuneration that is, explicitly or implicitly, prevalent today: either I am working (and I am paid for it) or I am enjoying my free time (and, if anything, I will pay to be entertained). This binary concept of the value of one’s own time makes it difficult to see the value produced by some forms of co-operative and voluntary activity where useful work, ethically motivated activity and entertainment are intertwined in different, original ways.
