This tower stands out on our campus. It cannot be hidden. It is a proclamation of our faith. Our Lord…told us that we ‘should not hide our light under a bushel but to put it on a stand for all to see.’ This tower is there for all to see and is a reminder that we are to be like that—to show the world the light of our good conduct. For some people, our conduct will be the only Gospel they will ever read. We thank the Barrett family—and other donors—for this wonderful gift to our campus. And we are appreciative that it is a gift that not only is beautiful to behold and practical in use, but a gift which, for those who can read them, contains the symbols of so many of our spiritual and religious values.
