GROW Confirmation Confirmation at St. Luke's is a spiritual formation journey for students in grades 8-12. St. Luke's encourages all eighth grade students to register for confirmation. Students will learn about different religions and what makes Christianity, and in particular Methodism, unique. Students will learn through large group presentations, small group discussion, guest speakers, a retreat, and visiting places of worship. After classes are completed, class members will have the opportunity to choose to be confirmed as full members of The United Methodist Church. Classes will meet Sundays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. starting August 28. View details and register at st.lukes.org/youth. Prayer Walk Join our prayer team Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7:00 a.m. in front of the Building C Coleman Memorial Gymnasium.

Children’s Ministries Stop by the Welcome Window on the first floor of Building B on Sunday mornings to check-in children. Infants, toddlers, and preschool will be in the ‘Surf Shack” learning lessons that show God’s amazing love. Elementary-aged children worship with families TODAY and July 31. Sunday School kick-off is September 11. If you are not connected with serving at St. Luke’s, consider assisting in a children’s class. For details on children’s events visit st.lukes.org/children.

Summer Camps Do your children need an end-of-the-summer activity? Registration is open for Neighborhood Camp (August 1-5) at st.lukes.org/camps. Limited spaces available. Rising Kindergarten is a half-day option from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (cost of $60). Rising 1st-6th grade is from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (cost of $125). AM Extended Day cost is $50/week. Activities include art, games, sports, theatre and dance, and mission.

Youth Families Please pick up a Youth Summer 2016 Calendar from campus information racks to learn about all the exciting happenings for middle and high school youth throughout the summer.

Youth Branches Mission Experience This week our high school youth will work alongside our mission partner in Florida City: Branches. They will be helping lead the “Summer Shade” camp while continuing to build relationships with our friends from Branches. Please keep all of them in your prayers.

Time Is Running Out to Register for the Cruise to Cuba Kim and Bill Barnes will lead this trip on October 30. Because of the popularity of this itinerary and the fact that only a few ships are allowed to enter the port at Havana, cabins are becoming limited. Register at EO.travel/mytrip. SERVE Backpack Tags Available TODAY St. Luke’s provides backpacks to the Orange County Social Workers who work with families in need. We are partnering with S.T.A.R.S of West Orange County (Supplies To Assist ouR Students) to maximize purchasing power to provide supplies for almost 800 students. Pick up a Backpack tag outside the Sanctuary or in the Welcome Hall of Building C TODAY through August 7.

Backpack Sorting Help sort and pack supplies at S.T.A.R.S (West Oaks Mall near JC Penney, Suite 106) on Wednesday, July 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sign up at st.lukes.org/local under "Intergenerational Serving Opportunities". Family and Group Serving Opportunities Serve as a family or small group over the summer. Check out the Serve Locally and Globally Catalog for July and August in the brochure racks or at st.lukes.org/serve under Serve Locally. Many opportunities help feed families when summer meal programs are not available. Students may earn volunteer hours. Sign up at st.lukes.org/local.

Circles® Youth Program Volunteers Work alongside our staff with activities for children (ages 4-14) in the Circles Youth Program while parents meet separately to achieve economic stability goals. Meet on Tuesdays from 6:40 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at West Orange Church of Christ, 1450 Daniels Road, Winter Garden. Choose the frequency of your commitment. Training/background check required.
