Meet 12-year-old Sarah Rector America’s Youngest Black Millionaire In 1913 Sarah Rector (March 3, 1902 – July 22, 1967) was an African American member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, best known for being the "Richest Colored Girl in the world" or the "millionaire girl a member of the race". Rector was a multi-millionaire oil baron at just 12 years old. Her wealth exposed many white people's pietism after she was so rich that the legislature in Oklahoma legally accepted her into the white community and declared her to a white person Born as the daughter of freedmen in 1902, Sarah Rector rose from humble beginnings to reportedly become the wealthiest black girl in America. Before her wealth and fame, Rector and her family were African American members of the Muscogee Creek Nation. People from these parts lived in modest cabins in the predominantly black town of Taft, Oklahoma, which, at the time, was considered Indian Territory. Following the Civil War, Rector's parents, formerly enslaved by Creek Tribe members, were entitled to land allotments under the Dawes Allotment Act of 1887.

Amoy Antunet from Atlanta, Georgia. 8-year-old Neuroscientist who teaches online from a lab in her bedroom

“When I was a little girl I said I wanted to be a pharmacist but now I want to be a neurosurgeon who helps people with neurological disorders.

• Amoy Antunet makes videos on college-level neuroscience and posts them to her Facebook page, Science For Children, run by dad Davin Shepherd, 44. • The young girl from Atlanta, Georgia, has over 15,000 likes on her page and the videos have racked up over a million views • Her love of science began at the age of three when she stumbled upon a microscope belonging to her dad

Amoy quickly built up a collection of chemicals, replica organs, test tubes, and microscopes, which she uses for experiments from a lab in her bedroom. Then, at the age of five, the dad-daughter duo took to the internet to show off her talent, posting a series of videos of Amoy conducting experiments and giving lessons. Donning a white lab coat, Amoy dissects mind-boggling topics including cell division, the heart, pH testing and her favorite - the brain\ In one video, she talks about a neurotransmitter called gamma-Aminobutyric acid using a chart and stickers, has been watched 2.1 million times. 'I make my videos because I want to help people understand different types of science,' the talented schoolgirl said. 'When I was a little girl I said I wanted to be a pharmacist but now I want to be a neurosurgeon who helps people with neurological disorders. 'So far I've mostly learnt about the heart and the brain and I want to learn about Multiple Sclerosis in the future so I can help sick people like my aunt, who has it. 'My daddy will teach me.' Amoy, who also enjoys gymnastics and math, was invited to the University of Alabama's Neuroscience Lab, which Davin says was 'like Disneyland for her'.

an of the house Man of the family What does that mean Am I supposed to be the man on the TV screen For years, it has been hard to find one with my skin That has no faults or some covered up sin Or in the home, where woman has to be loud What a man needs to be is some type of cloud Outgoing, ambitious, and have an invisible drive Strong, confident, with a quiet sensitive side Be solid and have something rock hard on you Give time to your woman but with the guys, never get brand new And I am confused Who am I to lead when it is never clear who to follow Speak up but it is certain things I have to swallow Too many try and take a father's place But have they seen a man's rightful place Now I am face to face with on the right way to stand How can I be the man of it all when I need to know how to be a man

Dias: ten How I see you The light that is within Shines outward for the world to see Beauty I have come to say that I am sorry dear The words have found my lips in love letters The place we are now in was my very fear Thought if I withdrew it would make me better Instead of my worries, I should have held you near Afraid that you would see this hidden fetter But I shut you out when you could have helped steer I see you wanted my hand, not my weather A double-minded man will only get tears What was broken, God can put back together Things I was supposed to say, from me to you Learned that love will make you one instead of two Miss you and in your absence I am coping If you have room in your heart, mine is still open

Meet The Black Man Who Invented The Refrigerator Used In Trucks, Ships And Airplanes + 60 Other Patents

Frederick Jones is one that inspires anyone who comes across it to strive to achieve more, and also evokes pride, especially for Black people. His achievements in the field of science and technology are so outstanding, that you might be tempted to name him the Black inventor of all time. But of course, there is no competition in the ingenuity of the Black man. Frederick Jones did not have an easy childhood. He was born on May 17, 1893, in Covington, Kentucky, near Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, and lost his parents at the tender age of 9. After the death of his parents, he was put under the care of a priest, in the state of Kentucky. He was supposed to finish his education under the guidance of the priest, but he could not. He was not compatible with the strict educational system he was getting . At 16 years of age, Frederick left school and returned to his hometown, Cincinnati. When he got home, he ventured into mechanical engineering, first as an apprentice, and then continued to acquire knowledge in the field through self-teaching and application. He later became a soldier and was deployed to fight for America in France, in World War I. During the war, he stood out for his skills and ability to fix military gear and apparatus, and that made him very popular among the Black and white units of the army. After the war, he returned home and made a living from being a garage mechanic. With the experiences he had gathered over time, he created a gasoline motor that could start on its own. He had a rare skill and mastery of electronic appliances and devices, and the surprising thing was that his expertise was self-taught

ALWAYS MY ONE

MOMMIE LOVE

My brand represents embracing your life's journey and transforming pain into purpose. It all started when I became a teen mom at the age of 16. The moment I found out I was pregnant, I was determined to change the trajectory of my life. I had no clue how to do it or if it was even possible, but I set and accomplished the goals that put me in a position to do exactly that.

Professional Coach, Speaker, Author https://www.achievingyourpurpose.com/

I've experienced a successful career in corporate America going on 25 years and raised two amazing children who are both on their desired path to success. We've overcome generational trauma and cycles. After I became an empty nester a few years ago, I became a life coach and was motivated to share my story and describe how I found my purpose in my pain. This led me to becoming an author. My book, Proceed through the Uncomfortable, inspires readers to face their fears and proceed through uncertainty and discomfort to get to the other side of their wants. It contains 52 mindful journal reminders that will help you on your journey. I represent the at risk youth, teen mom, single parent, black woman, and community and corporate leader. Representation is important because those who find themselves on an undesired or confusing path can benefit from seeing and hearing stories of triumph from someone in similar situations who looks like them.

"Every step on your journey is necessary for your purpose, especially the uncomfortable ones."

He would later gain employment aboard a steamship outside of the USA. After working on the steamship for a while, he returned to Hallock, Minnesota, where he started to design and build racecars, which he drove and used to compete in local race tracks and events. History accounts that his favorite racing car was nicknamed "Number 15", and that he designed it so perfectly and well that it defeated other automobiles in the races, and also once beat an airplane to a race. While in Minnesota, he built a radio transmitter for the Minnesota city radio station. He also was employed to work as a mechanic on railroads by James J. Hills who had a famous farm in Kittson County. Everywhere he went, he was a shining star, leaving in his trail, a mind-blowing collection of achievements and inventions. Frederick Jones designed an array of devices for the movie industry which was developing around the late 1920s. He invented a device that adapted silent movie projectors to use talking movie stock. He also went ahead to develop a device for the movie-box-office which dispenses movie tickets and then returns change to the customers. He also created a snowmobile. His biggest and notable creation was the invention of the first automatic refrigeration system for trucks that traveled long distances and railroad cars in 1935. The refrigerators were roof-mounted cooling devices, and they removed the risk of food spoilage when shipped and hauled across long distances. This creation of his would later be adapted to other carrier systems around the world, such as ships and railway cars.

corporation and invention changed the transport industry and the fate of transportation of perishable goods, with trucks, railcars, and ships. Jones invention of the refrigeration unit changed the way Americans ate food. They could now have fresh food all year round and in distant locations. This contributed to the growth of many businesses and industries around the world. In line with this invention, he went ahead to develop an air-conditioning unit which was used for military field hospitals, and also the refrigerator for military field kitchens. Thereby giving back to the military which he served in, and to the American people, and the world in general. Frederick Jones is still today renowned for being of the most prolific Black inventors who ever walked the face of the earth. He had over 60 patents and inventions to his name, asides from the mobile refrigeration system. He also inspired other Black people in America to follow their dreams and create systems that would better human life in general. Frederick Jones died on the 21st of February, 1961, and exited the world as an inventor and inspiration to the world. His story is a motivation for Black people worldwide. It goes to show the ingenuity of the Black man, even when living in a hostile environment and under oppressive laws. It is important to note that the era in which Frederick lived and achieved all of this was the period after slavery when whites in America set up Jim Crow laws and all sorts of propaganda to decimate the wealth and collective wellbeing of Blacks.

His ingenuity and invention of the mobile refrigeration units led to the creation of the If he could withstand all of it, and become Thermo-King Corporation (Minneapolis) in the great, you too can reach inside of you and same year 1935. The activities of his bring out that which will stand you out.

Family Series From Different Perspective

I

s there any difference between a Black family and any other family? I say definitely! The racial and cultural differences that exist among all peoples of the world necessitate that their problems be different and unique. I do believe that, in essence, all families have basic similarities. This would be true from my point of view for a number of reasons. First of all, since we all come from common ancestry (according to the Bible), it stands to reason that all family living grows out of that ancestry.

Second, I believe profoundly in the Bible, God’s Holy Word. I believe that the Bible gives principles that cover every situation and circumstance of life. Furthermore, the Bible specifically gives principles for stable family living. These principles are good for all people no matter what race, color, or creed. Yet, it is the interpretation and application of these principles to unique groups of people that needs much attention. Without proper interpretation and application of the Bible to our own lives and circumstances, we will not benefit from it.
