Concept

Design Team:

The prospectus is based on the idea of taking the ‘next step’ in education. This idea is carried throughout the design of the prospectus from the cover to the layout.

The concept is visualised through the use of blocks to represent stages of life/education and this prospectus is to influence prosepective students who are making the choice of where to go to study for one of the last stages.

Design Team:

The concept is shown through a variation of designs, one design is a photograph of Vernon Street stairs which emphasises the ‘next step’ concept. Other elements of the designs are an adapted format of the front cover which is missing a section to represent the idea of filling in the next step. Other designs are photographs of the College with the appropriate years to inform prospective students of the opportunities for their next step.

Design Team:

This design holds imagery of Vernon Street stairs to emphasise the idea of taking the next step into education. A duotone image is used so that the imagery is subtle. A list of the courses which the college holds is shown down the left hand side. This section represents the next step.

Layout

Double page spreads

Design Team:

Inside the prospectus the concept is carried on through the layout by dividing up the photographs subtly to show the steps of education. A 9 coloumn grid has been used throughout and the copy is divided over two columns and then progresses across to three columns to also represent the growth and progress of taking the next step.

The Entry Requirements page is kept visual with blocks of photogrpahy to break up the amount of copy, these blocks are used to keep the concept consistent as well as the two and three column idea.

Additional Deliverables

Design Team:

Alongside the Prospectus a promotional bag could be given to hold the prospectus as well as promoting the College. The design will be applied to the bag as shown continiung the ‘next step’ concept thorugh imagery of the college steps.
