Summary of the Weekend 2019 marks the 18th anniversary of the Skerries Traditional Music Weekend. This picturesque seaside town plays host to a weekend full of music, song and dance, reflecting the unique culture of the Fingal region. Leading artists travel to Skerries where they join with locals and visitors in a celebration of Irish Heritage. This year the Weekend focuses exclusively on sessions catering for a variety of musicians, singers, listeners, adult learners, teenagers, juniors and indeed all wishing to experience traditional Irish music at its best. Sunday morning features the renowned Skerries Mills Recital (Sponsored by Progressive Credit Union ) showcasing the best of traditional Irish musicians from around the country along with a flavour of local talent and a Centenary Tribute to the famous uilleann piper Séamus Ennis led by Peter Browne and followed by the Ní Scolaí sisters.
