Saint Joseph's fell to St. Bonaventure in double overtime, 98‐93, in the regular‐season finale although Carl Jones and Langston Galloway each poured in 20 points for the Hawks. Saint Joseph's held a 67‐61 lead with 2:58 to play in regulation before the Bonnies scored the next eight points to take a 69‐67 lead with :02 to go. C.J. Aiken was fouled on the long inbounds pass and hit a pair of free throws at 1.1 seconds to send it into over‐ time. In the first OT, SBU went ahead, 73‐70, before a 12‐3 run gave the Hawks the 82‐76 edge at :40. But the Bonnies got a layup with 0:21 to go, and after a free throw by Aiken, SBU hit a three to cut it back to 83‐81 at :13. The home team hit a three at :02 to send it into the second overtime, 84‐84. SBU took an early lead in the second overtime but Jones hit a three to knot it at 89‐89 with 2:55 to play. Saint Joseph's fell to St. Bonaventure 71‐68, in the quarterfinals of the 2012 A‐10 Championship, in a game that saw 24 lead changes and nine ties. Andrew Nicholson, the A‐10's Player of the Year, hit one free throw with 1:32 remaining to break a 68‐68 tie. After each team missed on its next possession, the Hawks had the ball with 36 seconds remaining. But Langston Galloway was called for a charge on his drive to the basket. Two more SBU free throws in the final 17 seconds provided the winning margin, while the Hawks' last chance was a baseline drive by Carl Jones which fell short.
