Brief 2 Lauren Carande- Electro Static OUGD303 / FMP BA (Hons) Graphic Design LCAD Brief: To create branding, packaging and promotion for an emerging Fashion designer, Lauren Carande and her A/W collection Electro Static. Concept: Lauren’s collection ‘Electro Static’ is inspired by organic shapes and artichoke colours and a contemporary and simplistic nature to the straight tailoring cuts of the garments. With a ethically driven awareness to design. The branding and packaging was inspired from key elements within her work such as the cut, colour, pattern and garment shapes. White, Gold and the Green pattern were the key colours of the brand Electro Static brand and Black and white for Lauren’s own branding. Brief 2 Lauren Carande- Electro Static OUGD303 / FMP BA (Hons) Graphic Design LCAD The swingtags for the main garments were based on the large sweeping pockets that wrapped aroun her garments. I took this idea further by including a small fold out with images of the the full collection so the customer can see the collection the garment is part of and how it should be worn. It also includes a short blurb about her collection style. I also created a smaller swingtag for the accessories consisiting of two layers one laser cut with her logo so the gold shows through. Also I suggested the that she buy white hangers for her garments, spraying the silver wire to gold to keep the collection consistent and laser cut the logo in. I had to create these on large scale: 20 Swingtags & 20 Hangers so had to take into account costings for paper and production quality as they will be used to sell the garments. Lasercutting really helped to reduce cost. P. 2 / 6

Brief 2 Lauren Carande- Electro Static OUGD303 / FMP BA (Hons) Graphic Design LCAD Additional items I produced for her collection were packaging and a receipt card. The packaging was kept very clean, white and gold vinyl sticker, then a colour burst inside of her trademark Electro Static green pattern. Gold tissue paper to wrap up the garments. Also the receipt card worked in a similar way to the swingtag using the same pocket detail to hold the receipt.

Lauren Carande 100 business cards printed at IST printers, 540gsm duplexed Ebony / Pristine White on the colour plan stock from GFSmith which is recycled stock / carbon neutral stock. With Gloss white and Black foil. Continuing the branding taking on the zips to the envelopes, with a gold inner reveal. Also designing cards for Lauren’s Electro Static range 250gsm, 50 printed for end of year show.
