IV.1 PENDIDIKAN Angka partisipasi kasar untuk jenjang pendidikan SD di Simalungun 104,87, SMP 92,88, SMA 87,72 sementara Diploma dan Sarjana hanya 14,15, sementara Angka partisipasi murni untuk SD 92,64, SMP 74,20, SMA 64,71 dan Diploma / Sarjana 9,07 Sarana pendidikan yang tersedia di Kabupaten Simalungun untuk tingkat SD s/d SLTA baik negeri maupun swasta berjumlah 1.074 sekolah. Ditingkat SD jumlah sekolah negeri sebanyak 786 buah dan sekolah swasta 46 buah, dengan jumlah guru SD Negeri sebanyak 6.616 orang dengan rasio murid terhadap guru sebesar 15,2 sedangkan untuk SD swasta jumlah guru 392 orang dengan rasio murid terhadap guru yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan SD negeri yakni sebesar 21,18. Pada tingkat SMP jumlah sekolah negeri lebih kecil dibanding swasta yaitu 52 sekolah dan swasta sebanyak 91 sekolah, namun jumlah guru untuk SMP negeri sebanyak 1.693 orang sementara SMP swasta 1.256 orang atau dengan rasio murid terhadap guru masing-masing sebesar 14,05 untuk SMP negeri dan 10,98 untuk SMP swasta.
IV.1 EDUCATION Gross enrollment rate for primary education in Simalungun 104.87, 92.88 Junior High, 87.72 High School but Diploma and a Bachelor only 14.15, while the enrollment rate for elementary 92.64, 74.20 JHS, 64.71 SHS and Diploma / Bachelor i.e 9.07. Educational facilities for primary until high school both public and private schools were 1,074. Elementary level, the number of public schools i.e 786 units and 47 units of private schools, the number of elementary school teachers i.e 6,616 people with ratio of student to teacher 15.2, while for private school teachers 392 people with ratio of student to teacher is higher than public school which i.e 21.18. The number of Junior high school was smaller than the 52 private schools and i.e 91 private schools, but the number of junior high school teacher for i.e 1693 people 1256 people while the private school or a student to teacher ratio amounted to 14.05 for junior high school and 10.98 for private school.
