Louise Clements

Louise Clements is Artistic Director of QUAD, a centre for contemporary art and film, as well as being the Co-Founder and Artistic Director/Curator of FORMAT International Photography Festival in Derby since 2004. As a curator, she has initiated and curated many commissions, publications, mass participation art, film and photography programmes and exhibitions since 1998. Louise regularly writes about photography for catalogues and magazines in both print and online media. Co-editor of several photobooks: Hijacked III UK/AUS, PHOTOCINEMA, Hungry Still and is Editor-at-Large for 1000 Words Online Photography Magazine. She is an international photography juror and portfolio reviewer at festivals and galleries extensively throughout Europe, America and across Asia.
“ Having known for a number of years and worked alongside Louise Clements at the Format Festival in Derby, I can only applaud and admire her hard working ethic and extensive knowledge of the world of photography. Apart from being Artistic Director of Format, which under her guidance has become the UK’s foremost photography festival, she has spent many years journeying to all points on the globe, promoting photography and attending festivals. CC Imaging are pleased to continue their support of the SUN Awards. Our association has continued for several years as we have printed the final images for the exhibition, initially from negative or transparency and over the last few years from digital files. As with last years awards we have printed the images on to Fuji’s stunning new pearl paper, with its metallic finish bringing out the best of the images, which once again seem to improve year on year! Since the early 1970’s we have established ourselves as one of the leading pro labs in Britain. We have set the standard for modern photographic labs by marrying traditional quality and values with state of the art technology.
Photographic “C-Type” prints from B/W or colour negative, transparency or digital, no problem! Using Fuji Frontier machines or the Durst Epsilon photographic printers, or even enlargers, yes enlargers, no problem! Ink-jet prints, scanning, post processing, retouching or mounting, again no problem! We still have the best and one of the few remaining E6 processing lines in the north. We have been chosen by Fuji Film Professional to process all their Sensia film and E6 pre paid voucher film, which is a testament to the quality of our processing. CC Imaging share a building with The Flash Centre in Leeds, so we offer a genuine “One Stop Shop” to photographers. Give us a call or come in to see us, the kettle is always on!
