Presidents Welcome……………… The PITA Executive Committee would like to welcome you to the 85th Grand Pacific Trapshooting Championships. There have been a few changes made in the program this year so make sure you look at the shoot schedule in the middle of the program, there will be lots going on and many things for you to participate in. I would like to thank all our event sponsors, advertisers and vendors for helping us to make this tournament possible. I would like to ask all the shooters to please support these people and companies with your business as well as your thanks. If you have yet to try your hand at the sub gauge events take advantage of what is being offered this year. Shells will be available prior to the events, tubes will be available and with only having one sub gauge event per day wait times should be minimal. The heart and soul of every good trapshoot is the help that is offered by the volunteers. The Grand Pacific takes a lot of planning, and work. For most trapshooters this is a labor of love. If you have ever had the urge to get involved, then scratch that itch by telling anyone on the Executive Committee and I assure you they will gladly find something for you to help with. If you can’t volunteer at this time, then please take a minute to thank those that are working. Good Luck to all Shooters Jim Rankhorn, PITA President

President’s Message ~ Evergreen Sportsmen's Club PITA Shooters, The board at Evergreen Sportsmen’s Club is excited to invite and welcome you to the Grand Pacific held at Evergreen Sportsmen’s Club. We are honored to be your hosts for the 2016 Grand. Our favorite part of the Grand is the people. Seeing those of you who are returning and the opportunity to meet those who are new is the best part of being host. Our hope is that you enjoy both the Grand Pacific and your stay with us. Our staff is committed to the success of this shoot and is already working diligently to make sure it runs smoothly. We are proud of our staff, and can honestly say that we don’t think you will find better anywhere else. Their goal before July is to ensure you have the opportunity to excel. The dance team is returning this year to continue their tradition of scoring. They placed well at the state competition this last year, and plan to go to the national competition this next year in February 2017. Working at the Grand is one of their major fundraisers to help them achieve their goals as a team. Scott, Kelly and Stacy will be out on the line, working to make sure everything is running smoothly. Be sure to thank them for their hard work (if they are able to slow down enough to hear you). Laura and Monique will be holding down the front office. If you are wanting practice rounds or ammo, they are the ones to see. Our board members will be available if you have questions. Just a reminder: due to a Washington state law passed in 2014 that requires private buyers and sellers to conduct firearms transactions through a federally licensed firearm dealer (FFL), the Evergreen Sportsmen’s Club cannot allow firearms transactions on its grounds without an FFL present to do a background check. May you all shoot 100 straight. Mark Downing ~3~

A shooter’s class will be as initially handicapped at the 2016 Grand Pacific Tournament. Shooters must be residents of the State/Province for which they are competing with the exception of D class. If a D class shooter from a State/Province is not available a D class shooter from another State or Province can be substituted (floater). If a team cannot be formed because a shooter is not available in a certain class, a shooter of a lower class may be substituted. Example: Class A shooter is not available, a Class B, C, or D shooter may substitute for the missing class, (a Class AA shooter cannot substitute for an A shooter, etc.). Each shooter can be a member of only one team.
