WHY CHOOSE US? SHOKK are the market leading global brand, specialising in youth physical activity, health and fitness. The aim of the SHOKK concept and brand is to create exciting and stimulating environments to ensure young people are engaging in a positive physical activity experience. If there is one thing we pride ourselves on at SHOKK, it is our understanding of young people and that our offering is designed and branded uniquely to appeal to this demographic. Once your new youth members buy into the SHOKK experience, your site’s

retention battle is almost won. Young people need a brand they can identify with. This is where SHOKK’s strength lies. SHOKK is far more than a youth gym. It is about making physical activity acceptable, fashionable, and (although only adults would ever say it), cool! The brand strength reinforces the importance and the ethos behind SHOKK’s range of peripheral products and merchandise.

A GLOBAL CONCEPT The SHOKKedition multiplayer dance system is a truly innovative product that has quite simply been a phenomenon since its launch in the UK market in early 2007. SHOKK have led the way in its progression and continued success, supplying 100s of systems to leisure facilities, schools and youth centres.

The public response to these installations has been nothing short of staggering. SHOKK’s groundbreaking, wireless Game2move Multiplayer Dancemat System is now even better, new and improved. The result...the most advanced Dancemat software on the market and the ultimate gaming experience.

KEY The concept of the system is still as simple as ever; users watch a sequence of arrows on screen and use the timing of the beat to hit on the pad the corresponding arrow with feet or hands.

The SHOKKedition system is very addictive and users may not even realise they are improving all the key components of fitness, hand to eye co-ordination and concentration.

Up to 32 Wireless Mats Modern chart music Track activity levels & gameplay Downloadable classes, songs and upgrades Split screen option for multi-level competition Ability to play ‘live’ over the internet

The connectivity creates an opportunity for groups and individuals to compete ‘Live’ across the internet. There is a great potential for worldwide game play with our international partners.

The range in levels enables players to choose songs that range from one step every couple of seconds to over 10 steps per second. Users tend to choose songs that appear challenging yet passable; effectively the exercise aspect becomes exciting as the skill of the player naturally increases. The new software has been completely modernised to accommodate all kinds of people.

THE

M U LT I P L AY E R

The system simply comprises of a Dancemat, a wireless laptop with the software and the music. The laptop is installed with SHOKK Game2Move software and a large number of songs, corresponding choreography and connected to an external LCD/plasma screen or projector. The system has internet capability meaning new updates and songs can be simply and regularly downloaded.

...SHAPES SIZES AND ABILITY! At SHOKK our target audience is young people aged 5-18 year olds who want to get involved in fun and engaging activities. However, the Game2move concept works just as effectively

with adults, the elderly and individuals with mental or physical disability.

LEADING

RELIABLE & DURABLE Ultimate durability and reliability, the SHOKK system is virtually maintenance free which means less fuss and most importantly, more playing. The reaction of the pads has been shown to be far more receptive and sensitive than any of the other mats in the interactive market, more reliable results and 99.9% accurate.

FLEXIBLE CONTROL MODERN CHART MUSIC A wide variety of well-known commercial songs and artists catering to an extensive range of musical tastes including hip hop, pop, rock, classical and salsa.

The new SHOKK systems are integrated with a laptop rather than a computer hard drive so the instructor can control the programme whilst monitoring the activity of the users. The dual controlled system makes it manageable for the instructor/ player to command the controls and pick the chosen level of difficulty effortlessly.

SPLIT-SCREEN TECHNOLOGY

EASY TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

The system facilitates a split screen option with up to three different levels of difficulty so users can feel comfortable playing at their preferred level of ability, yet still competing with friends.

With optimum mobility, only a small space is required for simple and effective storage of both the system and mats. The area can be used for other activities, not just the dancemats.

UP TO 32 PLAYERS

UNRIVALLED TRAINING SUPPORT

The software can be used by up to 32 players and is a fun and challenging group exercise dance game of perceptive and physical skill.

x32

As a national centre of excellence, SHOKK provide all the training and support you need to use the software effectively, programme sessions for different age groups, run competitions and care for the system long term.

TRAINING We offer the widest range of youth specific qualifications, CPD training courses and workshops available across the globe! Delivered in a completely unique and innovative fashion, our objective remains the same across all elements of the SHOKK concept, to create exciting and stimulating environments for young people to engage in physical activity.

KEY CONSIDERATIONS WHEN PURCHASING A DANCEMAT SYSTEM

Chart Music?

Will You Get Regular Upgrades?

Ensure on any system you purchase that you have modern music and songs that you would hear in the charts. This is really important to keep young people engaged. Most systems won’t offer this as it means more work on applying brand new step patterns and music licence fees for the supplier. SHOKK offer all this with upgrades available to download on request.

The SHOKK software progresses with time and updates are readily available to ensure your investment is sustained. The great advantage with the SHOKK Game2move system is that it is internet compatible. Therefore, all the updates can be simply downloaded without the need to send any hardware back.

How Many Pads?

How Are Operational Issues Dealt With?

In our experience it is important to keep things simple, hence why SHOKK use 4 pads on the mats rather than 5 or even more. The 4 pad system provides a step diameter ideal for young people of all ages and is also the original system used in arcades across the globe, something youngsters are used to using.

In the unlikely event that something goes wrong with your system you need to know that it is going to be dealt with quickly and effectively. SHOKK’s dedicated team aim to respond to all issues within 48 hours and 95% of issues are resolved online. Parts are readily available and our demo mats haven’t had a single operational problem in 18 months!

Suitable Training?

How Are Mats Powered?

Training is crucial to the delivery and the long term success of any installation. SHOKK therefore cover much more than just operating the system. All the session planning, programming and curriculum mapping is provided in the 3 Step training support package and an education pathway is provided to identify when extra support might be required.

Having used mats operated with both chargers and batteries we have found that the most practical solution is battery powered. This means that there is little downtime i.e. no waiting for mats to be charged. The batteries, which may be rechargeable, can just be replaced quickly and easily. The SHOKK Dancemats turn themselves off after 60 seconds of non-use, to ensure battery life is maximised, on average usage the batteries can last up to 6months.
