My name is Shayne Rochfort and I am a servant of God, volunteering in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I am the “something� with Ignite Dreams Foundation. I am helping coordinate the office as well as opportunities to connect with other foundations and their projects in communities all over Thailand. My main role involves everything and anything, STILL. Please consider partnering with me, building God’s kingdom in Thailand.
2016 is a new year full of lots and lots of big opportunities already, most of those opportunities will be in other places than my home and I am looking for your assistance to help me along the way.
Not much to report, but here are my plans for the rest of the year! I have some interesting and challenging times coming up in next few months and I'm gonna tell you all about it right here, right now. Just TWO WEEKS to go!!! I explained a little bit of the reasons I need to do the training in my last newsletter, but the summary is that in the future Thailand will be a full One Mission Society (OMS) country and when that happens the training I will receive will assist in that occurring. It will also assist me with understanding One Mission Society more and their programs. Thailand has not been a One Mission Society country for very long, it was considered a place with enough missionaries and missions organizations, but will have six OMS members here soon and will need more structure. I have a massive two weeks left as I have to fully empty my room because I do not one to be paying for my room when I am not using it. I was planning on subletting but it seems a lot easier to just come back and find a new room when I return from Australia. I will also be selling my motorbike and storing lots of stuff with a friend. I leave my beloved Thailand on June 13 and I will be flying to the USA. I'll spend one night in New York City and then head on to Indianapolis, Indiana on the 15th. Once there I will, I will be meeting with many of the representatives of One Mission Society and will be hanging around and helping out with whatever I can. just over a week after I arrive they will be having their international conference and I will probably get in and help out with that as much as I can. The conference will be up a couple of hours away from Greenwood, where I'll be staying. At the conference I will also be commissioned because I have never been commissioned before. After conference, I will have about another week in Greenwood hanging around and connecting with people. Then for the next few weeks will be participating in special CROSS cultural ministry training, which most missionaries go through before they start working. I am praying that this trip will be of great benefit to the work here in Thailand and South East Asia. Prior to and during my course I will have lots of homework and lots of extra things to do. Some time during the time I am in America I will also get finances training and fundraising training with more homework to do before that. So far the flights have cost about AUD$1500 to get to Indiana from Chiang Mai, and along with conference, living expenses and accommodation of another AUD$1500, that's how my costs have been worked out. I am praying that people will be able to partner with me in reaching the target. A wonderful donation has been received to cover the actual CROSS training course and accommodation during the training. So I am looking for donations over and above my normal donations to cover the cost for this Fundraising for additional expense. If you have followed my journey this past six and a half Training and years, you would know that I don't normally make appeals for donations, Preparations in however at this time and because I will be in Australia for three months I America - June and need a little bit of help to make this happen. I have bookmarked my American trip with a night in New York City on either side. July 2016 at OMS

I am expecting this time in the US to be very fruitful as I will be spending time with long term missionaries, who have been telling others about Jesus all over the world for many years.

August to October in Australia
OMS Connect in QLD 20th August Ashgrove Baptist Church - 10am - see details below
I haven't been to Australia since November 2013 and I want to/don't want to go, but I have to. I thought I had a busy time last year, well so far this year has been interesting, challenging and just absolutely flown by. I look at the calendar now and see that it is the end of May, mid June I go to America and late July I go to Australia. I planned and paid for cheap AirAsia tickets last year and that's why I had to jam in the trip to America when the opportunity arose earlier this year. I would've loved to have had a little bit more time before or after in America to rest, but it seems this will not happen. Because I bought the tickets to Australia from Chiang Mai I needed to come back to Chiang Mai with a couple of days back to transition and get ready for Australia. I will have three days in between arriving back from America and jumping on a plane to Australia. I will arrive in Melbourne, For a few days and then head to Brisbane on the 6th August, after my dad's birthday. I will be in Brisbane northside for most of my time until October 20th, but I will have a spend a little time in New South Wales and Sydney hopefully to see the Australian Christian Soccer Titles and catch up with friends there. I will be visiting many churches along the way and will be available for small group meetings during my time in Brisbane. So watch out on Facebook for my Australian contact details and I would love to catch up. In August, the HIGHLIGHT will be meeting and sharing with other Qld OMSers at the Inaugural OMS Connect to be held at Ashgrove Baptist Church. It will be a time where OMS missionaries and supporters will come together to hear about what Queenslanders are doing around the world. I hope to see you there. Starts at 10am and there might even be some Thai souvenirs to buy. It starts at 10am on the 20th August and please RSVP. I hope to spend a lot of time getting out and about meeting people, but also a lot of time with my family and friends. Ittipon - Influence One of the first words I learnt in Thai was Ittipon as it was the name of an amazing Karen man, who didn’t have much, but had a big ittipon on my life. Now I have many connections with ittipon and I am able to have ittipon in their lives. The Governor and his wife, the police chief and other influential people and leaders of the community. However, this is Thailand and another massive ittipon is also pictured here, it is Buddha and Buddhism, please pray for everyone doing God’s work in Thailand, they need it.

Praise God for new beginnings and new challenges. I have some busy times coming up from one side of the world to the other. Please pray for maximizing those times of learning, connecting and traveling. It will be both hectic and transforming! Please pray for Thailand. It’s beautiful, but with the current political climate, we are experiencing continual changes to laws and processes. Please pray for this year, I have so many things happening at the moment. I have many opportunities to serve Thai people and other also. I am committed to being in Thailand.
