Affordable Care Act (ACA)
Affordable Care Act, a health care reform law that was signed by President Barack Obama in 2010. It provides government assistance to help pay for health coverage for working Americans. The law eliminates pre-existing conditions, stops insurance companies from dropping you when you are sick, protects against gender discrimination, expands free preventative services and benefits, expands Medicaid and CHIP, improves Medicare and decreases healthcare spending and the deficit.
Kay Dukes, founder of national non-profit organization HH4HC™, is a national health insurance agent licensed in all 50 states. She graduated in 2006 with a B.S. degree in Public Relations from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. Since 2010, Dukes’ has been working in the insurance field helping families obtain financial protection through healthcare and life insurance coverage. Her passion is to help as many people obtain quality health coverage through the affordable care act so they will have access to doctors and hospitals. Through the HH4HC™ initiative, our goal is to gain national attention from hip-hop artists who want to endorse HH4HC by Hip Hop 4 Healthcare and encourage their fans and followers to enroll with HH4HC™. Kay Dukes approach is mass community outreach in order to educate the public about the availability of affordable healthcare within the hip-hop culture and the importance of healthcare coverage in the community. Located in South Florida, Ms. Dukes’ national call center serves all 50 states to provide a full enrollment service for our clients including; free quotes, health plan review, application assistance and completion, as well as verification document upload assistance. The assigned agent will continue to help the client throughout the year with any issues they may have pertaining to their policy.
