Return to Bridge This course is for people who have played some bridge before and know some of the basics. The course reviews the basic rules and teach the modern bidding systems and playing strategies. Joan Kendrick is a retired teacher and a competitive bridge player, who is a member of the American Contract Bridge League and Santa Fe Bridge Club, and has earned more than 200 master points.

Dog Training Bring your dog to school! In this six-week class, your dog learns all the basic commands (sit, down, stay, come, etc.). In addition, you get training solutions to concerns like house training, jumping up, digging, barking and pulling on the leash. We use positive, motivational training methods. Class is open to dogs and puppies, 12 weeks and older, who are current on their shots (parvo, distemper, rabies and bordatella). Please, only two of the dog’s people may attend with each student (dog.) Bring your dog to the first class, along with about 4 ounces of small, soft, training treats. Mary Leatherberry is an enthusiastic dog owner and trainer with years of experience teaching dog obedience.

Get introduced to the tools and data sources available online and elsewhere to create a family tree. There is a sizable amount of information online, some free and some for a fee, to draw upon. This four-session course emphasizes learning and practicing the skills required for your dog to pass the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen test. The test is administered at the last class session. Dogs and their people work on the 10 elements of the CGC test, including greeting a friendly stranger (no jumping!), coming when called, walking on a loose leash, staying, etc. The class is open to dogs who are current on their vaccinations and who have completed a basic obedience class.
